Probably a system of underground tunnels and smuggling that only people in Hamas have access to. So your options are get shot down by Israeli's for trying to escape an area you're not authorized to leave or get shot by Hamas for being considered a traitor to your people.

You "heard" wrong about Palestinian missiles. IF they fire a missile capable of destruction Israel has the iron dome so it does essentially nothing. Otherwise most of their "bombs" are chunks of metal that land on the ground and go thud. Why do you think there's only 3 Israeli death's which we're finding out now weren't even Hamas responsibility?

Oddly enough that is covered in this episode. The Palestinian fisherman and boats in general are not allowed more than 7 nautical miles of the coast before the Israeli Navy will intercept them. This episode also does a good job of showing that the average Palestinian just wants to live in peace and does not have a militant Islamic agenda.
