He hadn't had a cash above $7500 since 2010.
I'm sure he feels relieved to have finally snapped what appears to be a 4-year WSOP losing streak, even if he doesn't win.
BTW he has really had a big comeback. Was down 2.2 mil to 800k, now leads 1.9 to 1.1.

I wrote up a new blog on Daniel Colman and my feelings regarding his thoughts on Poker Media along with the game of poker in general. This blog I spent a little time thinking about over the past few days and if anyone wants to read it the link is below:

I followed his thread on 4 for a long time. I used to play a ton of husng back in the soft days, and even then , I'd cruise up to around $500 level and hit a wall of unexploitable players. He's a freak 4 tabling 1k and 5k turbos and hyper turbos and adjusting on the fly.
All through it though he's been kind of an angsty bitch. Fucking brilliant player, but always apologizing for his behavior one day and then doing the same the next day. It's no real surprise for him to be all self-loathing about his profession in one breath, but he will be a dick tmrw still.
He's just a malcontent savant from what I've seen. His lack of name recognition IMO doesn't come from a lack of self promotion, but more from being just a dick.
He's the rare genius that plays in that top echelon, but seems generally disliked by everyone else at that level. Those dudes are always competitive, but generally a clique. With him it appears like they actually dislike him. He's got a great mind, yet manages to be uninteresting, which is hard to pull off. Pretty decent troll though when he gets talking.
He made his big contrarian statement with a lot of truth in it, and he's made enough money to ride off into the sunset, but he won't go anywhere. He will just continue to be depressive and whiny while stacking a huge amount.
For a couple years Olivier Busquet was the best HU SNG player in the world prior to Black Friday but Daniel Colman has been that the past few years making a ton of money playing HU SNGS.
Olivier Busquet was even buying a portion of Colman in the One Drop too. I'm well aware of who Daniel Colman is keeping up with and playing HU SNGs over the years. I've seen him whine a lot of times in games myself. He was not as bad as that guy stevesbets on Pokertars from years ago but still his whining when running bad was obnoxious.
With that said the kid has talent and this is his second seven figure score of the year. He can definitely make it in poker on his own but he will leave a bunch of money on the table from his demeanor and won't gain many friends which means he won't live a good life because you need at least a few guys you enjoy at the table who are sociable that you can hang out with outside of the felt in order to be happy.

Dan/mrgreen also lucked out a bit from being a little bit of a dick. He would harass livb in chat and say how livb sucked and call out the hands livb folded. Instead of being vindictive and having mrgreen chat banned livb checked mrgreen's stats on PS These were the only site on which mrgreen had positive stats luckily. livb offered mrgreen free coaching and in about a year mrgreen was the wining-est? sitngo player over livb.

I'm aware of Daniel "mrgr33en13" Colman his history and follow hu sngs a lot including husng.com since I played quite a few of them over the years. Oliver Busquet must have just saw future money and wanted to mentor the kid since very few people are going to coach anyone for free.

Lol at paying rake to appear on tv with zero ESPN compensation and then being surprised after someone doesn't want to be asked a million questions. Tell me other examples of people who appear on tv uncompensated while paying rake.
The final numbers for Negreanu are in. Still leaves me wondering how much he actually got from the One Drop and what his % of the Ivey bet was.
