Jeff Madsen indeed #MendedFences last year, and immediately broke out to big success after many years of struggles.

This actually personally affected me, as Spa predicted semi-early in our respective events (Madsen in $3000 PLO, me in $5000 LHE) that we would win bracelets.

Madsen went on to win, and while I went into the final day with the chip lead and briefly had a small chip lead at the final table, I ultimately finished 5th. In a weird way, I felt like I ruined the destiny.

I think I know who Spa might have been but don't want to guess, and I don't know for sure. I do know he was a witty Twitter poster and he will be missed. He even sent me a couple of #TeamSpa decals a few months back.

Asian Spa made the biggest mistake by going on radio without the voice modulator. The mystique of Asian Spa went down the toilet when he let everybody know that he was just a typical white guy based out of the midwest. Hell this is just another thing that went horribly wrong during the ironman podcast.

Just like the ancient Chinese proverb says: Man with hand in pocket feel cocky.
