Just catching up on this thread and I think Srsly should play the $500 employee event which a lot of them players are not very good. It would at least get his feet wet to play a WSOP event that not everyone can enter in. cmoney can of course do whatever he wants with his money and stake whoever.
Where Srsly went wrong is he should have contacted cmoney privately with questions he had about the offer to avoid coming off as "OMG, DREAM COME TRUE TO PLAY WSOP EVENTS" type of thing. I'm not sure I'd call his post begging since cmoney offered first but it was going to rub some people the wrong way and then just pulling out saying he don't want to play any event altogether was strange too.
I can only imagine some of the PM's that cmoney gets from creating a thread like this. I bet tons of guys he don't recognize their screen name are saying they saw the thread and would really like the be chosen for the offer,etc... They probably reply with the "long time lurker but barely post" line in hopes for C$ consideration. Some (if not many) of them PM's either are full of lols or come off extremely desperate but that sort of comes with territory of creating an open invitation to apply which is sad/annoying but true.
Anyways, best of luck to anyone cmoney chooses to back and I hope he has a nice sweat or two getting some return this year.

After Willie so tactfully pointed out that this may be overzealous, I said okay, no problem let's scale it back. I continued to catch a ton of grief anyway. Maybe nobody read that post, or maybe I didn't get the point across well.
Sure, the employee event was a separate deal, but I've still got a bad taste in my mouth over all this. Now I would feel like a scumbag for accepting anyone's generosity. The prospect of playing is no longer any fun, which was the whole point in the first place. I'm sorry if people feel that I'm scummy for reneging on the deal. I hope Pooh will understand.

So yes, cmoney did put china in the ME, bought several pieces of druff, and the others part wtf knows nor should anyone care since that may be private and this is a new year.
All I'm saying is cmoney offered to put you in events and you got a little too excited posting up in the thread what you'd like along with questions on the deal when it would have been best to privately PM C$.
As for the grief you got it I guess it depends which way you look at it. It might seem harsh or overkill to some point but a lot of people here also like to troll it up. You probably took it a little too "sirius" but it could have been avoided from just contacting cmoney privately.

Even if you did want to play still that decision was up to C$ as far as what to stake you or not. You even said publicly in other thread you didn't play an MTT more then $20 in your life if I recall so if people were still willing to put you in after that knowing your experience then it's their choice. If anything from saying that shows you were honest regarding your poker playing experience whereas some people will probably exaggerate big time to C$ to try to get a stake.
