I used to love Little Caesars pizza. I remember when I was like 10 my dad would bring home this frickin huge ass pizza and it tasted awesome to me. That was of course a hell of a long time ago.

Now their main thing they push is their crappy $5 pizzas that only taste good if you are drunk enough.

That's why I posted this, I was surprised at how good this was coming from Little Caesars.

I like the spices on the Italian Cheese Bread at Little Caesars which make it taste good but I haven't ordered that in a long time since the bread itself isn't that great.

Years ago they used to have a bin sitting on the counter at my local Little Caesars with the Italian spice packs sitting it in and I'd grab a few large handfuls of them each time I went in there which wasn't that often but I liked to get a bunch to use the spices on other cheese breads and pizzas. I think one time I got like 40 to 50 packs of them but then the place stopped putting the spices on the counter probably due to people like me. It wasn't stealing since the packs were free but obviously they don't want people to take that many of them at once.

Anyways, the pepperoni bread lew posted looks decent for Little Caesars standards but I get what 4D is saying when it really is pizza without sauce with parm cheese sprinkled on top of it. Some places at least put a bunch of garlic butter on but I don't see that from this picture and haven't ate that bread in years to know what it tastes like anymore.

I've had my fair share of conversations with lew about random eats since we both are in Michigan and as far as pizza goes we do actually agree on a lot of the same things in regards to the franchised locations, similar style of pizza, and places we've both been to around here in Michigan such as Buddy's or Pizza Papalis.

This is what I like to call a QPM (quick poker meal)

Probably costs $5 for the ingredients

Baby Brussel Sprouts Frozen - I nuke one of these every day and have it on standby in the fridge
    Peppers- I precut my veggies
Purdue Grilled chicken (pre cooked)- I buy about 2 packs of these a week for situations like tonight

Fire up the saute pan , spray it with some pam and add a bit of light butter, let it heat up and dump in about 7 brussel sprouts, some peppers and about 7-8 oz of chicken. Flip it ariound every 30 secs for 5 minutes and back to the tables. Easy quick meal

They must have put the garlic butter on the first layer I could definitely taste it and you have to love the parm on top. Honestly when I order something like this I tend to go with Hungry Howies 5 cheeser and skip bacon/pepperoni. Also off topic but if you happen to like Spicy Italian's/BMT's definitely tell them to top that bitch with parm. I didn't know that Subway offered it for the longest

Buddy's Pizza is shockingly good but Pizza Papalis is definitely god. One thing's forsure, you'll never see me at a fucking California Pizza Kitchen. BNP have you ever been to Mama Mia's on Plymouth? It's passed Gulio's and East Side Mario's.

brussel sprouts are god but pre-cooked, water added chicken isn't (although for pre-packaged chicken your final product does look better than i've ever tried)

you can prepare 4 chicken breasts in the same time it takes to make 1, and it ends up being a lot cheaper than buying prepackaged, water filled garbage

Have you considered switching out chicken for fish? I buy a fresh salmon every couple weeks (non-farmed) and cut it into 2-3 inch portions, spice them up and then freeze them in individual packages. Then I use a package for stir fry or poach it and throw it in a salad. Way healthier than chicken and after a while your tastes will likely adjust and you will enjoy it more too.

Not a complete switch but I have started to eat fish again the past 2 weeks.

Last night I attempted to make homeade french onion soup.....It was a HUGE success and I was pretty damn happy with myself. Here's the recipe:

    Served 2:

One onion sliced(any kind you prefer)
    tblspn dry sherry
    1/2 tsp dried thyme
22 ounces of chicken stock(they suggest beef, but it was all I had)
    1 tbsp olive oil
    Provolone cheese
    horse radish cheddar cheese
    diced swiss cheese
    french bread.
    1/2 cup butter
    salt and pepper to taste

Take the olive oil and butter and let them melt on a medium heat 8 quart pot. Put the onions in and caramelize the shit out of them. I let them cook for about an hour on really low. I added a pinch of sugar as well.

After about an hour they should look something like this:

AFter they're ready you add the broth, sherry and thyme and let simmer for about a half an hour. Turn on the broiler on the stove while that's cooking.

Also slice a piece of french bread and toast it before you put it on the soup to melt the cheese. it cuts down on the sogginess of the bread.

After a half an hour of letting the broth cook you put it in an oven safe bowl. Put the toasted slice of french bread on it, and put the provolone on the bottom of the cheese, and add the rest on top of that. Prov holds it all together. Let it broil in the oven until the cheese is melted to your satisfaction. my gf likes it crispy on the bowl, so we overflowed it with cheese for her.

We also just added our favorite salad to the meal to complete it.

    Arugula
    granny smith apple(sliced)
    dried cranberries
    tomato
    onion
    feta cheese
and homemade lemon juice and olive oil dressing.

I was really happy with the outcome and so was my gf. This is a really intimidating soup to make, but really really easy and tasty when done.

1 drop is enough, 3 drops is too many. It's that strong. The cap is an eyedropper.

Useful ex-bartender fact. If you have the hiccups, you can put three drops of bitters on a lemon wedge then suck on it for ten seconds to get rid of them.

angostura bitters are excelent with soda water, takes a aquired taste though.
i will normally put a bunch in soda water (make it as strong as you like) it is good to settle a upset stomach.

we make a drink called a bavarian beer, it has bitter alcohol called "fernet" and qunine water (tonic) you get a very refreshing drink. there are probably a few diferent brands of this kind of alcohol. a lemon wedge is a good garnish.
    all hail Hydra
