The fee structure for Therapy appointments goes something like this at most insurance companies (driven off of what Medicaid and Medicare will pay which is about 20% less).
30 minutes - $30
45 minutes - $75
60 minutes - $120
In what possible scenario is my wife ever not going to see a client for an hour with this pricing structure?
At minimum they should be priced incrementally the same.
One could argue that they should pay more per minute for shorter appointments to encourage shorter appointments and lower overall cost.
Instead we have a system that pays more per minute the longer you see a person, which makes no sense and no business works this way.
