I originally picked Red Sox in 7 which I will stick with it but they might win it sooner.

No offense to the Cardinals fans but to Red Sox hitters their starting pitching is like a big break compared to the what the Tigers threw at them.

I agree with willie here. Ca5rdinals front four is very comparable to detroit in terms of sheer #s. Wainright, Wacha and Kelly are all pretty nasty then u have a dropoff with Lynn. Tigers guys def more established and maybe electric but just sheer #s STL can pitch

We will see as the series goes on. If the Cardinals prove me wrong then we may have a series otherwise the Bo Sox will roll on.

Nothing really to prove pitching wise, they won 97 games and had a cy young contender going last night who got drilled. A fireballing rookie with a low era and 1k per inning going next and Kelly had like a 2.7 era and I think he starts game 3.

But ofc the sox were going to hit better than 204 or whatever they did vs detroit over a 6 game series. I think Detroit has an amazing front 4 and they pitched lights out but SL isnt that much of a drop from them IMO. Just experience

I think St Louis wins Game 2 with Wacha, until proven otherwise the guy has been God on the mound. If on the other hand Wacha suffers the same fate tonight as Wainwright did, then this could be 2004 all over again. In Wainwright's defense however St Louis looked like a bunch of misfits on the field the 1st two innings outside of Beltran, who may have hurt himself pretty badly ala Hanley Ramirez robbing Papi of the Grand Slam in the 2nd. (for Beltran's sake I hope he's ok, would suck to wait 16yrs to get to the WS and only play 2 innings).

Max Scherzer and justin verlander are the best 1 2 combo in baseball imo.

I got money on the Sox so obviously they're going to win.

That is super degen for sure but congrats to him on hitting a lottery pick getting 13.75 to 1 where the odds of winning are way worse.

I agree. He also bet them -4.5, -3.5, -2.5, and -1.5, and the moneyline and over 7. Clean sweep but the payoff odds sucked. And his guy had a max bet of $100 on those sucker bets.

I guarantee Wainwright also had some somewhere himself.

Might be the Red Sox in 4 straight. After all they haven't lost a world series game since 1986.
