My point was I wasn't hiding from this thread because Boston was losing. Wouldn't have posted if they were winning. I usually will post when in my office and poker is dead and there was a lot on TV tonight so i was not in my command center. Even if I was in the command center I would have probably been grinding like now as this post has taken me forever to type

Walking dead premier for 1hr or just about any NFL game or good college game > 1 hr of baseball (yes even playoff baseball). Flipped back and forth on commercials to baseball and football but mostly watched the football game cause I had a lot at stake there.

I try to catch a lot of the postseason Sox but if there is better stuff on I will watch it or play poker unless it is a world series game or a big elimination game

Jim Leyland teased a radical side to his managing last series bringing Scherzer out of the pen, and I thought that was a great move. In my opinion, he should have set up the staff for this series in the same manner; make 1 of your 3 fireball throwing starters a reliever for the series. Not just a reliever, but first guy in the game out of the pen to pitch in high leverage situations. Tigers have such a weird makeup of a staff this year (3 ace level starters and 1 "very good" starter, somewhat shitty pen), it would seem like a smart move to try to maximize the amount of innings where basically 1 of those 3 ace quality guys are out there, or the ability to use 2 in the same game. The trade-off being you're starting Fister in game 3 and 6 on paper I would think is worth the ability to go to one of those other 3 starters every game as opposed to their other 'pen options.

If you can't get 2 innings out of your regular bullpen pitchers enough to the point it costs you a series then as much as I love the Tigers they don't deserve to win the World Series.
