There was like a page and a half of retardation anyways, you didn't miss shit by not reading.

So I liked the ending, I thought it was pretty satisfying as far as TV shows went. Shit it could have been a lot worse. My vote for best episode of the season is Oymandias, hands down. My lone disappointment is not seeing Jesse kill Walt. I thought that was going to happen 100%.

Also poisoning Lydia with the ricin is great but if you actually read up on ricin the gastrointestinal tract has a hard time digesting it so ingestion is actually the worst method for Walt's purpose. Obviously we are supposed to believe that she ends up dying but very likely that she actually lives. So his family might be fucked any way.

I love how Jack tells him if he wants to see the money he won't pull the trigger, and Walt shoots him before he can finish his sentence.

two things I didn't like were that the FBI knows he's in town but isn't there/doesn't have enough man power to stop him from entering and leaving Skylers and that his fail plan with that rotating gun actually works.

Parts I liked were the way he fucked up the grey matter people, probably because I shouted out immediately to my bud that those were laser pointers being shown by Badger and other guy. (would have never guessed who was showing the laser pointers if I didn't read vegas1369 spoiler post with the cast though)

Yes there were holes, dumb scenarios, and a lot of predictability. Probably more of all three in this one episode than five seasons combined, BUT, all things ended exactly the way they needed to end. To me, it was perfect.

The best scene was when Walt goes to see Skylar. I'm glad Walt dies as Walt and not as Heisenberg.

Also, people are seriously focused on the plausibility of this episode? The entire show was based on absurdity.

lol, that was my favorite scene too, but it was more about the way it was shot with the invisible wall between them the entire time. That was some next level shit right there.

I was slightly underwhelmed but overall thought it was adequate. The previous 2-3 episodes were definitely superior on every level. I would have even been fine with him withering away in the cabin so I almost viewed this episode as an epilogue of sorts.

Nothing in particular bothered me and I thought Cranston was EXCELLENT but just a little thin overall.

That being said, we're nitpicking badly; it was about as satisfying of a finale of any show I've ever watched. I can't think of a better one except for Sopranos. I haven't seen Six Feet Under or The Shield but always hear that they ended well.

So bummed this show is over, so much better than anything else right now. Homeland has entered late seasons of Dexter/Weeds territory in terms of awfulness, Boardwalk still has no direction, Orange is the New Black is good but overrated, sigh..

Totally disagree with this. If there was anything about teh run-up to the end that I thought sucked, its the fact that decided to whip through 2+ months in one episode, the 2nd to last episode. Kind of an insane pacing choice, IMO. It's like they had 14 episodes in the can, then were like, "OK, ending starts NOW, how to we tie all this up?"

Some good points here. I agree that a lot of my disappointment was rooted in me comparing it to the previous episodes, and perhaps not viewing it for what it was.

I fucking HAMMERED The Wire a few years ago, I think I was done with it in 2 weeks. Breaking bad is the only other show I plowed though the same way. Took me just over 2 weeks to get though the first 4 seasons.

    Great show.

I do think the "greatness" or lack thereof of the 18 ep season 5 will be debated over time, but nobody can argue seasons 3 and 4 as being some of the best TV ever.

‘METÁSTASIS.’ THE SPANISH-LANGUAGE REMAKE OF ‘BREAKING BAD’

The explosive success of Breaking Bad was bound to generate some copycats shows, but Spanish language media company Univision took it a step further, decided to cut out all those pesky middlemen (I think they’re called “writers”), and do a direct Spanish language remake. The Univision version will be set in Colombia and called Metástasis, the term for the spread of cancer- I assume “breaking bad” doesn’t really translate. The project seems intent on keeping every iconographic piece of the show they can, down to “Walter Blanco” (yes, really) in his famous white briefs. They even named his wife “Cielo Blanco”- “Cielo” being Spanish for “sky.”

Of course, some things will have to change to make sense to Univision audiences. The RV that houses Walt’s first meth lab will be replaced by a school bus, since RVs aren’t common in Colombia. Honestly, though? I feel like the context of the show is so American that an RV is going to be the least of their plot problems. Colombia’s relationship with drugs is, to say the least, very different from drug culture in the U.S. So much of the show’s premise is based on U.S. drug wars, especially our border with Mexico and our DEA. Colombia has already decriminalized cocaine and marijuana, and are arguably on their way to doing the same with meth.

Still, I’m really curious about how this will turn out. I may have to tune in just to see a Colombian Saul Goodman!

Yeah, I kinda thought it was bullshit too.

    Until.

Breaking bad Alternate Endings and story Lines That were considered:

    Skyler kills herself.
Walt Jr. was almost killed in Season 2
The Machine Gun-- They didn't know what they were going to do with the M60 machine gun they introduced in beginning of Season 5.
Walt's life in New Hampshire -- The writers also kicked around the idea of giving Walt more of a long-term second life in New Hampshire.
