    Well shit...

    My instincts were almost right the first time. Weird thing is I believe it or not meant to mark walt dying and I made a typo by marking him living

    that aside...

    I don't think it could have ended much better

    That was a fucking terrible finale.

    Leave your stepping stones behind, something calls for you
    Forget the dead you've left, they will not follow you
    The vagabond who's rapping at your door
    Is standing in the clothes that you once wore
    Strike another match, go start a new
    And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

    this is a fair point. but i dont like to let writers off the hook for relying on cliches when they fall short of the standards they set. and i think its particularly disappointing in this case. this really felt rushed and artless and honestly a touch apathetic.

    the fuck ever i guess.

    I thought Walt putting his fingerprint on the tank in blood was the perfect apology to Jesse.

    This site got a lot of things right. I like the guy in the comments saying Felina=Finale and they are idiots.

    Felina is a metaphor for Walt’s double life. As Heisenberg, Walt becomes obsessed with the power and money that a being a drug kingpin brings. This power is his Felina, his weakness. But its backbone is the obsessive (destructive) love he also has for his family.

    Out in the West Texas town of El Paso
    I fell in love with a Mexican girl.
    Night-time would find me in Rosa's Cantina;
    Music would play and Felina would whirl.

    Breaking Bad takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but El Paso was the site of Hank's (Dean Norris) first brush with the cartels, and his subsequent spiral into Walt's (Bryan Cranston) kingpin darkness. In the song, a cowboy spends his nights in Rosa's Cantina, watching his love, Felina, dance. I've been to Rosa's Cantina. It's a friendly place with cheap shots and a stellar jukebox, but back in the day, it was famously described as a place nice girls don't go. If my hunch is correct, Felina is a metaphor for Walt's double life.

    As Heisenberg, Walt becomes obsessed with the power and money that a being a drug kingpin brings. This power is his Felina, his weakness. But its backbone is the obsessive (destructive) love he also has for his family.

    Blacker than night were the eyes of Felina,
    Wicked and evil while casting a spell.
    My love was deep for this Mexican maiden;
    I was in love but in vain, I could tell.

    Off to my right I see five mounted cowboys;
    Off to my left ride a dozen or more.
    Shouting and shooting I can't let them catch me.
    I have to make it to Rosa's back door.

    Are the five mounted cowboys Todd and the Nazis? There were five of them at Hank's shootout. Are the dozen or more the police who are hot on Heisenberg's tail? I'm guessing yes. There's going to be major heat for Walt in his final hour.

    Something is dreadfully wrong for I feel
    A deep burning pain in my side.
    Though I am trying
    To stay in the saddle,
    I'm getting weary,
    Unable to ride.

    also in the season premier, walt had the bandage on his wounded hand in the diner.

    tight continuity faggots.

    lol at this shit, consider all the crap they freestyled into production. for that bandage to have been there, it means they originally had this wrapping up within a week or two of skyler cutting his hand.

    but hey, why not include another 8 minutes of footage per episode, fuck up all the original plot metrics, and sell an additional 22 minutes of advertising based on the bloated 90 minute run time per ep.

    btw that 22 minutes of extra advertising?

    yeah according to huffpo, that brought A&E an extra 8.8 million united states dollars.

    and all it cost them was a tight, logical, high impact finale.

    I liked it. On the upside, season 3 of Homeland started tonight.

    Word. The reviews are pretty enthusiastic for the finale. I clearly had different expectations.

    A lot had to happen in basically 55 minutes, remember to kick this last episode off Walt is in Maryland still.

    I didn't think it was terrible but it could have been better, I think people would have been blown away if you take the episode Hank is killed in and reorder it to the finale. Do some rewriting and have it wrap up in that episode with Walt killing off the Nazis and dying at the end.

    Instead of the crappy end write your own Breaking Bad Ending:

    Walt does his Macgyver ending(which everyone saw coming) first. Jesse is freed and knows where the money is.

    Instead of 2 guys in a car, there is a whole SWAT team hiding hiding in the house along with Skylar and Marie. In the episode we see a DEA guy on her porch but Skylar just has some guys in a car --LOL.

    Walt shows up and gives Skylar and Marie his it was for me speech. SWAT jumps out and cuffs Walt on his knees. Marie(in purple of course) pulls a .38 out of her waist and kills Walt.

    FADE TO BLACK
