It's funny because you bickered about his wrestling and his wrestling was mostly ineffective and still won the decision.
Granted I didn't agree with it at all but I can only imagine how much san pellegrino limonata chinotto you spat out during bruce buffers reading of the score card.
Yeah I went sideways for a few but then I took my fish for a walk and cleared my head.

is that street overran with tears or san pellegrino?
Is this confirmed. Looks like it been confirmed http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/Jos...n-Zombie-54521
I said to the guys I was watching with that I thought Aldo must have hurt his foot or leg early or maybe even before the fight. It's the only explanation for what happened.
On a sidenote, how tough are these fucking guys.
KZ trying to pop his shoulder back in so he can continue fighting? Anybody who's ever dislocated or seperated their shoulder know how painful that is.
I also had it 29-28 Machida but it's not like it was a highway robbery. He landed the most & most significant strikes standing for sure but when nothing really happens it's tough to complain too vehemently.

I thought the Davis/Machida fight was closer. The thing to me is whenever I watch a majority of Machida fights that go the distance a lot of times he don't do anything to clearly win some rounds. He usually brings some good defense and his offense plays off that but nothing is overly convincing. I see Machida's age starting to slow him down.
Phil Davis is a decent fighter with a potentially big upside to him but he needs some fine tuning yet before being worthy of a title shot.
I thought Aldo might have hurt his foot going away from vicious leg kicks but he still moved around well enough that part of me just thought he wanted to bring a different game plan.
Aldo is a rare talent that can win in so many ways and his weight cut don't really scare me that much for the simple fact Aldo delivers every time.

If memory serves, I remember thinking in the third "Wow Machida is acting like he won two rounds handily and can coast here, uh oh..." but even so I never thought he lost it.

I told the guys I was watching with that both fighters better fight the third like they are down 2-0 because you just never know. I actually had it 1-1 going into the third & thought Machida clearly won the third & would get the victory.
After watching some of the split decision where the score were 30-27, 27-30, 29-28, I'd take nothing for granted no matter what my corner told me about the score. You just can't listen to your corner for objectivity let alone having a clue about how the judges are actually scoring the fight. Too many corners do exactly what you described & the guy just coasts to vict.... I mean defeat.

Im disappointed that Machida in particular continues to live in willful ignorance of this. Hes a finesse/point fighter at this point and hes "lost" at least 3 fights under identical (robberyish) circumstances.
Could anyone really complain if he got cut after another loss?

Judges can be badly hurt or killed during a riot whether they are Brazilian or not. Just saying that has to be in the back of your mind while scoring the fight at least until the first controversial loss for a really popular Brazilian fighter to a non-Brazilian fighter on home soil. Glad to see nothing happened except booing.
