i think in general, a lot of the teams over valued players who are primarily just NL tourney studs.
how did Yevgeniy Timoshenko not get drafted?
or
allen bari
matt glantz
nick schulman
john hennigan
john monette
Steve, the only player I overpaid for is Shaun Deeb (60) imo... but the kid is running sick right now with 4 scoop bracelets in like a week and I knew I would get guys like Andy Frankenberger and Andrew Badecker cheap because the only person I had to worry about who would know about them was Kevmath... Charder going for 51 was just because I had 51 left... The answer to how bootsy got chris moorman for 1 is simple... Me and him were the only 2 people without a full team and when Moorman was nominated I pretty much had a lock on either choosing him or charder, by choosing charder I would be giving up moorman to bootsie automatically.
I gave Bootsys list a quick look and decided that his team may have been a bit NL heavy so I opted for charder.
Obviously, I like my team best. I think anyone can win, you never know in the series. I clearly had a strategy with my team in that I wasn't looking for only NLH tourney players, looking for mixed game players and players with huge rolls that will play in many events. I think there are many, many players that were not picked that would have been good to select. Note: Only 7 teams of 8 so there should be plenty of good players left.
Of note who were on my list that weren't mentioned: Huck Seed, Justin Boosted J Smith, Justin Young, Sam Stein, Steve Billirakas, George Lind, Scotty Nguyen, Men the Master, Marco Johnson, Matt Glantz, Joe Cheong, Joe Cassidy, E-Lingren, Frank Kassella, Bryn Kenny, Devo, Dan Kelly, Brock Parker, Josh Arieh, Binger, Volpe, Kravchenko and Clements.
I was also flexible and didn't have favorites, since I didn't know how many teams were going to be in the event. I did want a few of the following: J. Mercier, Dwan, Ivey, Katchalov, Seiver, Negraneau, Bonomo, Haxton, Hellmuth, Elky, S. Deeb, D. Alaei and Seidel. They were my top picks, which I got 5!
FYI PLOL - The one drop can be found of here: http://www.wsop.com/2012/thebigone/ Right now I have Dwan confirmed, FML, need Mercier, Bonomo and Hax to register.
Good luck to everyone and their sweats for the WSOP. Thanks again to Jasep and Blind Squirrel, enjoyed the draft.![]()

Soft field for the one drop... All those billionaires with all that money, but you have to think it's the best chance for one of them to win a bracelet. They would never stand a chance in a lower buy-in open event.
Honestly, it's not a bad strategy since the field is listed. I still have hope that Mercier, Bonomo and/or Hax will enter it. I at least have Dwan, he's great in Super highrollers and WSOP events.. :S
I knew Boosted J was playing in it and I do regret not drafting him but it was tough at the end with so many players to choose from.
