They actually verify it is a cell phone? Seems as if you could just get a 702 number from ring central or Skype for 10 bucks and that would do the trick.

Connecting it with the Ultimate Fighting Champsionship has way more upside imo. It would be different if the UFC wasnt the monster it is, but people will quickly connect this new poker site with UFC. It allows the UFC to more effectively promote it in unison with everything else they are doing. If the UFC was promoting this poker site under a different name, people would think it was just some poker site that sponsors the UFC, which ironically, would probably give it less credibility as a safe place to play. This name to me says "The UFC and Nevada is behind this shit and we are worth billions so your money is safe. We arent some shaddy offshore site"
Besides hardcore investigators, no one will be talking about the UB scandal in a year. Shit, no one is barely talking about it now

I went to stations made a deposit and played tonight. The software is horrible IMO. They have a ton of improvements to make. Also the tables are all 50bb max buyin. UP has a long way to go.

It's one day in and people are asking about HUDs, HU Tables, PLO, Mixed Games,etc... Many new things will come out over time I'm sure but these owners shouldn't be bombarded with requests of why this or that isn't on the site yet but instead given suggestions to improve the software or rake.
People are too spoiled by Pokerstars and Full Tilt of the past but they just have to understand many of their implementations were added over years and this new site Ultimate Poker needs time.

Bad to outlaw huds - people can just make their own hud and the people following the rule get hurt.
What they should do imo is what bodog has always done. Make a 3 or 4 table max so that pros cant sit on 12 tables.

A certain standard has already been set. I realize it is the first day and many improvements wil be made. I was just giving my honest opinion of the site at this moment. If it was great I would have said so. Don't really see the problem with critiquing the site in its current state. I just figured I would give an update, knowing that many users cannot play from their current location and are probably curious. Yesterday was a great day for all online poker players, no doubt about that. Voicing complaints and concerns will be one way the site can grow and improve. Would it be better not to say anything?

A lot of these well-intentioned rules end up hurting those willing to follow and help those willing to break them.
Totally agree that there should be a 4-table max.
It looks terrible (especially to fish) when you open up a lobby and there are like 50 tables with 1 player sitting at all of them.
