lol themiconsystem linking to seals is perfect. I havent commented on this before simply because i thought it was so insane that it would be DD in a month.
Lets see, invest real money into fake money, that people "mine" online, that has its own "market" which you can then use to gamble illegally online, or buy drugs at silkroad.
A great fiction writer couldn't come up with that one.
I had nothing to do with The Micon System.
I don't think Micon borrowed my bracelet for any of them. I know for sure that he didn't pretend that my bracelet was actually his. He was obsessed with trying to win a bracelet, and even wore my bracelet during his ESPN-recorded-but-never-televised WSOP final table where he finished 9th.
The Micon System was promoted by some snake oil salesman type from the south. I think it was Macon Marc's cousin or something. Micon gave my Skype to the guy, and he kept hassling me about making a Dan Druff System about limit holdem, and insisted that I would make tens of thousands of dollars for very little work. He told me that the fact that I had a bracelet would make it sell really well.
While I wasn't against doing tutorial vidoes (and wish I actually did some back during the poker boom), I found The Micon System's promotion to be extremely shady-looking with comically gimmicky marketing. I refused to associate my name with such a thing, even if the content of my video was useful.
If you go to miconsystem.com, it redirects you a few times and ends up at miconsecrets.com. I don't believe that Micon owns either site anymore. He told me something about selling them, and I think he made over $10k for selling each one. The person that bought it basically got rights to the product and could sell it without paying him any commission. However, that was after they already marketed the hell out of it, so the potential sales were probably not very juicy at that point.
I think Macon's cousin took something like 40-60% of the proceeds. It was something in that ballpark.
Obviously the domains forwarding to Seals still belong to Micon.
Here is the weirdest thing:
themiconsystem.com forwards to Seals. You would think that belongs to Micon, but the domain is registered to a Giancarlo Cappuccio.
(you'll have to enter one of those captcha things to see it)
http://who.godaddy.com/whois.aspx?do...rog_id=GoDaddy
When you google that name, you get the following 2005 Ripoff Report:

Ironic that this is about slots.
I'm guessing that Giancarlo is not the same person as Micon, and is someone he just sold his domain to, but that doesn't explain how Micon still has the access to forward it to Seals at this point.
Weird.
This does make sense. For those who don;t remember the micon system marketting was EXTREMELY shady. It spammed thousands of poker players emails, to which no one still knows how they were acquired. Micon was adamant that he was not involved and that this was a result of an extremely aggresive affiliate program (which I beleive). The affiliates marketted it in tons of shady ways too, including comments that it was a cheating program and other ridiculous things.
If the guy above was involved it makes much more sense.
gonna start calling Micon, "Giancarlo" for kicks.
Happy to see that ole big dick is purring again
Thank god Smokin Aces is still intact, where else would people go to get such great poker mentoring now that everything else brings them to Seals?

Micon's winning secrets revealed:

Crossposted from DD
So the debate happened, and I can summarize as follows:
Micon admitted that it was unethical to post naked pictures of his business partner on the internet - Check
Micon acknowledged accepting monies from a sponsor and then proceeded to trash the sponsor on radio and on his forum because he doesn't like him - Check
Micon hits the doomswitch and we lose the last 5+ minutes of the debate in which Micon is backed into a corner as whether he has materially breached his contract with Druff or there is no contract with Druff. The is easily the best part of the radio program and nobody heard it and it is gone forever. - Check
Micon, you are awarded no points and and if nothing else, you have confirmed to me that, to paraphrase Weissman, you wouldn't know business ethics if they bent you over and assfucked you. There is plenty more that has come out recently but I'm really not here to pile on.
BTW, Your assertion that only contract attorneys are qualified to determine the validity of a contract is laughable, and you're not fooling anyone with your stream-of-conscience nonsense ramblings.
Bryan, I really don't think you are a bad guy, but you've made some bad decisions of late, and my advice is to own them like you own the Drexel photo fiasco and work to make positive changes.
It's funny that he thinks so little of a written, signed, notarized, agreement, when most courts of law will accept legitimate oral agreements as proof of a contract, when they can be proven to have occured... It's all about PROVING whether or not the person entered into said agreement. A signed, witnessed, notarized agreement is about as iron-clad as you can get unless Micon can prove he was drugged or forced to do so against his will (i.e. Druff had his wife held at gunpoint until the agreement was signed). I don't even know why you guys argue the fact with him when his position is laughable at best --I have a pretty good idea why his legal counsel may not be able to pass the bar exam.........
I write things about poker at my Poker Blog and elsewhere on the Internets
I've refrained from saying anything negative about Micon directly because I'm not in any way convinced that he's a bad person. In fact, very few people are "bad" by definition - most everyone has layers. (Why does this sound like a Shrek movie?) I just think he's on a downward spiral... maybe living in Vegas is the culprit. There's no loss of hope that he'll straighten up and fly right - I've fucked up before in life and still made it out the other side and mended fences.... I know others who have as well, and who became amazing people in the final analysis. I'd like to suggest that devoting thread after thread to hating on Micon is probably not the best for this forum. Just my two cents. I still support Druff in his future exploits and feel he was wronged in the break from DD, but I will not bandwagon on Micon - you don't know what the future holds. For the moment, I hope he makes things right.
I agree with vwls. We all make mistakes and zig when we should have zagged, but there is no hope until you can admit your mistakes and understand that what you have done is wrong.
Very few are beyond redemption, and I hope micon wakes up.
Just listened to the DD show, I thought you acquitted yourself great Tony, nice job, was a shame things ended prematurely as it seemed to be just warming up, has a re-match been scheduled or is that the end of it?
It is really to bad that it ended when it did. The best part is gone.
Here is the latest...
Micon, I appreciate the debate as well.Originally Posted by micon

Naive and incorrect eh? Interesting analysis. I wrongly assumed that you would have taken my cracks about business law classed 20 years ago as the joke they were intended as, and probably should have stated my credentials when discussing the contract issue.
FTR, I have been a vice president of a fortune 500 company for over seven years and deal with contracts literally on a daily basis. I have been party to hundreds if not thousands of contracts in my 17 years in the real estate/mortgage/home building business almost never do we have to get the lawyers involved.
So yeah Micon, I can recognize a valid contract when one is put in front of me, in particular when you have provided ZERO evidence as to why it would invalid. Zero, nada.
It would appear that your balls are showing, again.
