I will admit that I haven't checked non-English poker forums, but from what I can see (from Alexa stats), PFA has the highest traffic aside from Twoplustwo, Pocketfives, Pokerstrategy, and Cardschat.
Cardschat is an SEO monster, and made a fortune during the years when affiliate programs were very profitable.
This, in turn, made their forums active, though it appears to be mostly dry poker content.
Alexa does rankings by monitoring the internet usage of people with the Alexa plugin installed. If you don't have the Alexa plugin, your traffic is meaningless to Alexa. This is the biggest flaw with Alexa's rating system, but it's still the best metric out there. For this reason, Alexa tends to favor sites with more non-internet-savvy users (since they are more likely to install garbage plug-ins like Alexa), but that would actually imply that PFA has MORE traffic than Alexa is showing, since most of our users are net-savvy.
Anyway, here are the traffic rankings right now for select poker forums. Lower number is better. For example, google is ranked 1.
PokerStrategy: 3,475
TwoPlusTwo: 7,233
Pocketfives: 36,911
Cardschat: 50,030
PFA: 173,878
PartTimePoker: 189,166
FullContactPoker: 281,468
InternetTexasHoldem: 288,878
DD: 422,829
There are a number above 500,000 that I didn't bother to list.
Am I missing something here? Admittedly, we are a distant 5th (though probably closer to Cardschat than it appears due to a lot of their traffic being non-forum-related), but I'll be happy with 5th if it's true.
