Let's say a liberal here accused me of cheering on the January 6 riots.

I would respond, "I never did such a thing. I was against the January 6 riots. You won't find a single post I made anywhere which was cheering them on."

If the person said back, "Well maybe not, but I can tell by all of your defenses of Trump, you must have been cheering on the January 6 riots, so my point stands", I would think this person is a liar who doesn't operate in good faith.

Same thing here.

None of these examples stories ever apply to me.

We don't know how Reiner felt about the attempt to kill Trump. Could I believe he was happy about it? Yes. Could I believe he didn't like it, despite his own vocal opposition to Trump? Again, yes.

The only people who know the answer would be those Reiner told personally. But that encompasses nobody on this forum.

You have zero evidence that Reiner cheered on the assassination attempt. Absolutely zero. You stated it as if it were fact. When challenged, you could not provide anything, and changed the story to how you were assuming this was true. (It's one thing or the other -- either you have evidence he did, or you're assuming he did!)

It was a general statement based on years of his online posted hate towards Trump. It was also my opinion only and because I say so. I also did come back and post supporting evidence that RR hated Trump. I honestly didnt care enough to push the topic further.

Now, again, there's nothing wrong with misremembering, or accidentally internalizing something you read as fact. As I said, I've accidentally done it myself at times, and I feel foolish when people point out the truth to me. But I won't double down at that point. I'll say, "Whoops, I guess I remembered wrong", and move on.

I already answered this in my post above.

For whatever reason, when this happens to you here, you will never admit you were wrong in the first place.

Remember that bullshit empty plane photo some woman posted to X, which you shared here, as "proof" Vegas was dying? It was supposedly a flight from New Jersey to Vegas. The problem was that it was clearly during the pre-boarding phase, so the photo meant absolutely nothing. Rather than concede you missed that (which can happen), you argued back and forth with about 15 messages to me that the photo was still meaningful.

Druff- You have been stuck on this topic and refuse to accpet any other view point. You are now also putting words into my mouth that I never said. I also broke that entire photo down and explained all of it in detail. In short, the husband was sitting on the plane, knew his flight to Vegas was going to be empty, texted his wife to show here and then she added on her personal opinion about the current status about Vegas tourism. I saw the open compartment door and it was not the smoking gun as you thought it was. You also got on Twitter and slammed the author and no one else supported you there. Again, I saw the whole entire picture and then broke the whole thing down to where no one could debunk it. Youre now re-telling the story the way YOU want it to be told and making out there is no way to question you on it "because I said so". I am telling you, the whole story was easy to analyis and draw an obvious conclusion. But you are back to "its only this way because I say so" and that isnt the absolute end all of the story.

Add- This example supports that I have said before- the husband on the plane was able to "read the room", it was that easy and obvious. It blows my mind that most members here are poker players and cant read the room, including Druff. And I know exactly why- they are using their emotions vs critical thinking skills. I am not a pro poker player and even I know this from working in the streets. This is a basic survival skill and it seems some members here dont have it, unfortunately. The husband on the plane had been sitting there long enough to read the room, analysis it, take a picture on his phone and send it to his wife in Vegas, so easy to see.

Guess who even joined in with telling you that you were wrong? Your favorite former poster, The Boz!

Again who is to say he was right- "because I say so"., I still say Boz was wrong on that topic and not going to change my final opinion just because you wrote it again here saying so. Proof that you sometimes re-coat a story as truth- I have never said Boz was my "favorite poster" here.

I bring this up because these are examples of how you frustrate people here. To be honest, this frustrates me as well.

Again, pot calling kettle. That also sounds like a personal opinion you and they need to work on. I have thick skin and learned to scroll past and ignore certain posts and users here and not let them get to me. Thicken up that skin and learn to scroll past and ignore.

When people see stuff likes this happening, they want to relentlessly troll you, and it's hard for me to get in the middle and stop them when I see this level of stubbornness.

I do the same back to them, that is why you get the complaints.

This is an example of what I meant by disrupting the forum.

I actually dont do it, you just side with the liberals. Go back and look at my Rob Reiner post. I agreed with everyone in the post in my first paragraph and then even said I mostly agree with you. But then because I gave my own personal opinion that I do not have to probe or validate, I was attacked as the resident liberals here have to pounce and attack, My post on RR was very generic and did NOT slander RR at all or fully support Trump, I gave a very balance OPINION on the topic, but the resident liberals needed to attack someone who slightly disagreed with them and you had to join in and support them, even though my post was harmless and really didnt shake the tree at all. Druff- this is exactly how you have gone purple- You have been posting in here based on emotions verse real facts. You should have really read my RR post and observed that it was pretty neutral and I only gave an opinion that was based on past observations. Again, I really didnt care enough to deep drive iinto it. Like I have said here many times- Funny how desertrunner is always wrong. (but he really isnt)
