Hamas didn't murder citizens trying to surrender. They murdered 1200, including kids at a music festival, women, babies, and entire families.
Second, this easily could have been an accident. These guys only "surrendered" when the crane forced the door open. At this point, they were told to get down on the ground, and it's not clear whether they were told to get under that door or if they went there on their own.
If you look closely, the crane doesn't intentionally knock down the door on them. It backs away from the door, and it falls. It's possible that the crane operator didn't realize it would fall when he did that, and was just backing away.
Third, it's not clear that either of these men died. Notice the video cuts off after the door falls. The way it crumbles on the men indicates that it's thin, and also fell in a way to where it was only partially on top of them. They likely cut off the video because the soldiers probably pulled it off, and then men survived. Otherwise, why not continue showing the video where the dead men are pulled out, or callously left under there for several minutes with no attempt to rescue them? Because I'm guessing any further showing of the video would have indicated the door being moved, and then men getting up under their own power. Remember, when Hamas cuts off the beginning and end of a "war crimes" video, there's a reason for it.
Finally, you don't know the background of these men. Why was the IDF after them? What had they done? Is it possible these were Hamas terrorists who had murdered Israeli civilians? Would your opinion of this change if you knew they had murdered 15 young Israeli concertgoers on October 7? Hell, I'd drop the door on them myself if that were the case.
I realize that not everything on this forum is serious, so maybe a lot of the anti-Israel shit I'm seeing here is just being done to troll, and you guys enjoy getting a rise out of me and Kalam.
But if this actually is serious, try stepping back and looking at reality.
How different would our federal budget look if we gave zero support to Israel? Do you think life for any American would be better if we removed the Israel support and let the government spend it elsewhere? The money given is a drop in the bucket compared to the federal budget. In a typical year, Israel gets $3.8b aid from the US, which is about $11.50 per American. During the Gaza war, they got $21.7b, which is about $66 per American.
So this money isn't going to do much for America if spent here, given the large population (and government inefficiency in spending). Additionally, some of this money goes toward joint technology development, of which Israel has been useful. On top of that, Israel and the US have a lot of the same enemies, so it's much better for the US to back a foreign country attacking those enemies, than for us to utilize our own troops to do it. So it's not just shipped off for nothing in return.
Now, if you still want to argue we shouldn't get involved, I can understand that.
However, at the same time, you should not pretend that Israel is the bad guy in this conflict. Hamas terrorists are backward, evil people who are motivated by the religious belief that they will be rewarded in the afterlife for killing non-believers. Israel is not committing a genocide. If Hamas had the ability, they would commit a real genocide and wipe out all Jews from Israel. The only reason they're not is because they lack the military power.

This is correct.
Despite being a very small percentage of the population, Jews have made immense contributions to the United States over the past century-plus. They started out as poor sweatshop workers with nothing, but rose to be one of the most successful and productive segments of American society, due to a strong emphasis upon education and careers.
It's also important to note that in the early 1900s, the system actually WAS rigged against the poor. Workers had no rights, higher education wasn't easily accessible to the masses, and it was very hard to break out of your lower social class and become successful. Jews had every excuse to remain sweatshop workers and blame "systemic oppression and inequality", but instead they bore down, worked hard, and broke through.
The country would look far different had the Jews never shown up, and not in a good way.
As Kalam pointed out, the current wave of third world immigrants are not contributing, not assimilating, and just taking from the country. And it's not just here. It's all over Europe, as well. The Somali scam is just one of many examples, and it will only get worse with time.
