Ian Watkins, of Wales, was once the lead singer of the semi-successful band "Lostprophets".
But he had a really, really, really dark side. He was a sick pedophile who liked raping babies. And when I say babies, I mean actual babies -- kids 0-2 years old.

Watkins wasn't particularly careful, either. He would show girlfriends pictures of his baby rape pornography and bragged about raping kids. He actually recruited two mothers to give him their babies to rape, texting one of them, "If I have you, your kid belongs to me, too". Those two mothers were eventually jailed for 14 and 17 years.
From 2008 to 2012, multiple reports came in to Wales police about Watkins' pedo activities, including from his own girlfriend. These were all dismissed and not investigated, partially because police feared a backlash due to Watkins' popularity, and fear of what would happen to their reputation if it turned out the allegations were false.
Watkins might still be out there raping babies today, if it weren't from his drug habit. He started to become increasingly addicted to hard drugs, and his activities acquiring them (sometimes having them mailed from Los Angeles) got the attention of authorities. When he was busted for drug offenses in 2012, they found videos of him molesting the babies, and that's when action was finally taken. The police department has since apologized for their 4 years of inaction. In that time period, several additional babies were raped.
In 2023, there was an attempt on his life in prison, but he got away with only minor injuries.
He wasn't so lucky today, as he was shanked in the neck, and bled out. The killer is probably a piece of shit himself, but for one day, the guy is a hero.
The killing is especially good because Watkins would be up for parole in 6 years. Can you believe this? He was convicted of 11 major sex offenses, and they were going to let him walk out of prison in 2031. He would have been 54 years old then, with plenty of life still to live. Now he's dead.
