Sinclair Broadcasting has said they wont air Kimmel on their 38 affiliate stations until he apologizes to the family and makes a donation to TPUSA. So far Nexstar hasnt said what they will do. They have 23 affiliates. There are about 200 affiliates. ABC is still going to take a big hit.

Anyone who thinks this terrible show is going to get a big, permanent bump in the ratings is dreaming.
The ratings will be huge tomorrow. Then maybe higher than normal for the rest of the week.
Soon after, they will crash back down to what they were, because... the show isn't good.
Ratings won't be that high if half of the ABC affiliates refuse to air that garbage show.
His contract is up soon, he's done anyway. Unfunny clown with no talent. Maybe he can co host Rachel Maddow's show, though I hear she isn't too fond of white men.

Kimmel’s problems were grass roots. It wasnt the feds. It was people complaining to ABC’s local affiliates about him. Thats why Sinclair and Nexstar pulled down. The fact the network brought him back shows the feds were irrelevant on him being taken down. Free speech is not the issue. Kimmel can speak all he wants forever. But “for profit’ businesses are not required to give him a platform.
