also i wish i shared your conviction that liberals know he has no chance; they are the ones who cant stfu about what a triumph it is against oppression to have a gay man so prominently featured in national politics. oh and seriously ran kamala. and fwiw i cant remember pete ever bringing it up him being gay beyond occasionally referring to his husband but the left cant seem to stop making it a topic of convo.

and btw i like him and i like his policies and i have absolutely no doubt he would lead well on an international stage, i just think hes totally unelectable.
I am going to assume him being a forceful presence on the international stage as a joke. Yeah, standing in Munich with his geeky husband would go over great on the world stage.

you think munich would care? fascinating. russia would care and so would a handful of islamic nations until the moment the saudis kissed the ring. no one else would notice especially after he tarpitted all of trump's tariffs.

The fact remains he has no chance, this is like talking about Hillary Clinton winning again. It's never going to happen so you and myself are just wasting time on this, no gay man is ever going to win the Presidency, lesbian maybe, but not a gay dude.

I have responded the same way for years, including pre-2020:

Buttigieg will never be the nominee because he will always get 0% black support, and black voters comprise 25% of the Democratic primary votes.

Many Dems are afraid to address the real reason he has zero black support. They claim he looks and acts stereotypically white, and black voters can't relate to him. Bullshit. Hillary Clinton looks and acts stereotypically white, and she got plenty of black support. Same with Joe Biden.

The real reason black people don't support Buttigieg is simple: There is still a ton of homophobia in the black community, which nobody wants to talk about. They would not vote for a gay Presidential candidate, whether he's black or white.

Even Stephen A. Smith was afraid to directly say it, but he strongly implied it:

Funny enough, Buttigieg would have a better chance as a Republican, as the base is more willing to embrace gay figures who otherwise agree with them. Don't believe me? Look at Peter Thiel's prominence, and look at the meteoric rise of Milo Yiannapolos in 2010s before he ruined himself by supporting pedophilia.
Relax Mr. homophobia. Any future presidential candidate (left or right) need only rise above the low bar set by convicted fraud and sexual offender Donald Trump

The criminal convictions of presidential candidate Donald Trump were ignored by Republicans. The unlawful acts being committed by Trump and his administration, tariffs, immigration, police state powers enacted, will directly affect all.

    Simple economics. Price of bread.

Your dem party is really just shit out of luck, tine. Dem popularity is sinking like a stone. Have you caught the news about the Teamsters Union now funding republicans in the midterms? The dems have even lost union support. Thats catastrophic. Its not just Pete Boodyfudge. All dems are unelectable on a national stage. Hard times for dems.
