There is massive traffic in Hawaii right now due to people fleeing low-lying areas.
Hawaii is under a "tsnuami warning", which is the highest of the 3 tsunami alerts. The lowest level is "tsunami watch", and the middle is "tsunami advisory".
The US west coast is under a tsunami advisory, but I doubt there will be any significant tsunami action on the US mainland. If it does occur, it will be around midnight-1am. I am not that far from the ocean, but I'm at a high enough elevation to where it is impossible for this to affect me. I've had to calm down some local people who have nervously texted me.
There is a fair chance that there will be a real tsunami in Hawaii, but note that the first tsunami waves hitting Japan have been extremely underwhelming -- about 10-15% the height expected. This might indicate that there will be no tsunamis at all further east like the US.
