My first impression is that’s it’s BS singling out one person when there are multiple others doing the same thing. But it’s your forum and you can do whatever you want and everyone has the option to just not post if they don’t like it. And DR was given multiple clear warnings to slow down some and just wanted to argue about it. Druff’s forum, Druff’s decision.
Still not sure why the cry babies can’t block him but let’s face it, they are loving this. Not the ban they wanted but enough to give a few a reason to get some joy in their miserable lives. A ban wasn’t justified by your history as I know it. Only the worst trolls (Blackhole comes to mind) and a guy that involved your family are the ones I’m familiar with. Nothing DR did came close to that and I would argue Sonatine and Richard Dick Head are far more trolls daily than anything DR posted. Dick Head only posts trolling and while he appears to be smarter than Dick, Sonatine still posts 90% troll and 10% just bad takes and predictions.
Personally I feel putting EVERYONE on a 7-10 post limit daily wouldn’t be a negative to anyone. And might accomplish what you want by encouraging quality posts (maybe) and eliminate much of the junk.
As for VCT without KewlJ posting it’s a wasteland. But slowing down his posting and ignoring the trolling by Coach and MDawg was the best thing for him mentally, but bad for forum traffic.

To be fair, I don’t want to look in the mirror anymore either. Apparently instead of aging steadily along a continuum there are periods of rapid aging. Those ages are 35, 60, and 78.
I have had many tell me about the 60 thing, it’s true.
I’m sure life expectancy being 78 is the big one.

He isn't banned. I put a 7-post-per-day limit on his account.
He's not the first one I've limited here. Many of the people I've limited in the past are back to normal posting ability, because they demonstrated over time that they were no longer attempting to dominate the forum.
That's why he was limited, in a nutshell. Had he said, "Okay, I disagree, but I'm going to do what you asked and tone down my posting here", I'd have said okay and seen what happened. However, I was met with responses every time telling me why I was wrong, and why 2+2 was handling moderating so much better.
I definitely did not single out desertrunner, as he is my friend, and it gives me no pleasure to ban him.
I personally enjoy his posts/threads more than most people here, but I can also see it from the other side to where his presence here became way too much.
I feel that if he could just lose the entire narrative in his head about "liberals" attacking him here, and if he could lose the meme and X reposting habit, he would be a lot better received here. As I've mentioned many times, a lot of his topics do get real non-trolling engagement, so in that way he's bringing something positive to the table.
Regardless, I am a man of the people when it comes to PFA and generally want this forum to be what the users want, so I have taken action.

I'm sure it is nice to see the family you created, and watching it go 2 generations beyond yourself, and knowing these people will continue to move on to perpetuate the cycle of life, with part of you always there. I sometimes think about my grandparents this way. 3 of the 4 of them passed away by 1981, and the last went in 1999. They're all very long gone by now, but I remember all but the one who died in 1973, and while I still miss them, I remind myself that a large piece of all of them lives inside me every day.
It is very common for older people to either stop looking in the mirror closely or to picture themselves like they used to look in the past. In my mind, I still see myself in my late 30s when I picture my own face. I don't do this actively, but that's what I always picture, so sometimes it's a bit jarring to look in the mirror and see the truth.
I've actually heard the two abrupt aging points (at least as far as how you look) are 44 and 60, which make sense to me. This is also why it jumps out at you when you see an over-60 man in Vegas with a younger woman, yet you hardly notice if the guy is in his 40s or 50s (unless the girl is early 20s). A lot of guys in their 60s have the "old man" look happening, whereas a lot of 50s guys are still appearing middle aged.
I almost never have anyone guess that I'm older than my actual age, which is good. I hope that maintains. I'm not trying to look 40 anymore. I just don't want to look like an old man.

In light of recent personal attacks on this board and the fact that about half of the members are real life internet trolls, I cant risk the same issue here. Until someone else here posted about the dox, I didnt really consider the possibility and the juice aint worth the squeeze.
Again, this has nothing to do with this lame thread, come member whining in the OP or Druff putting the collar on, its the personal and legal damage someone could do.
I believe dr that he will be posting less and that it has nothing to do druff neutering him. He will probably only post 6 or 7 times a day

Posting personal info is considered a very serious offense on PFA and will usually result in a permaban.
The exceptions involve verified scammers or members who turn out to be major criminals. For example, I made the decision to out 4Dragons' identity some years back when he was arrested and convicted for possession of child porn. Had it been a minor or mid-level crime, I wouldn't have outed his info, unless that crime affected the forum or the gambling community.
The only other exception involves posting info which the user already made public and connected to his PFA identity. For example, posting my real name is not against the PFA rules, since I am public about that.
