i have held off the longest here by saying anything cause mostly we do align politically, but today i have reported 2 of your posts and have suggested to @Druff to limit your posts to about 12 per 24 hrs.

1. you posted some BS in the wagering thread where it absolutely doesn't belong, i get it people make mistakes and accidentally post in the wrong thread....

2. late last night you started a new thread about the LA Fires and a scam(s) where victims are not receiving the donated money and NGO's are keeping the Govt. allocated funds....why not put that in the main LA Fire thread...?? but nope you somehow thought this deserves it's own thread, when it is clear it belongs in the main LA Fire thread, so all the information can can be under "one roof" aka all in one spot .... but nope, now this information is scattered in a different thread that you decided somehow belongs in some rando thread, and it was decent information... keep all the information in ONE thread... not scattered all over the fucking place!!!!!!

3. you keep using that tapatalk BS posting app that you know very damn well is buggy and doesn't work half the fucking time and just see BS of line after line of .... [emoji] [[[[emoji]]] alt 234/ [[emoji]] .... please fucking stop posting with that BS...

if the time allotted allowed you to edit the post... then the post can be deleted if you edited it... so then just delete the post all together rather than editing it with (........) again if it allows you to edit it, it will allow you to delete it all together....

As a VBulletin forum owner (v3.8 and 5), I know the functions very well, but never saw the delete button here in the past, being honest. Now I see it and will use it. But dude, you need to chill out, seriously.

I meant to bring up that topic myself, but forgot. I'm not sure if I would have put it in the existing fire thread, or made a new one. So on this, I agree with you that the new thread wasn't terrible. However, upon thinking about it, I decided it's better off in one thread, so I merged them.

However, 1dollarboxcar's point is that you start too many threads, so you lose the benefit of the doubt in people's minds in this situation. People on the forum are just fatigued by seeing threads started by desertrunner. Note that even though this is my forum, I always take care not to start too many threads myself, as I don't want to give people "Dan Druff" thread fatigue, either.

I still see the EMOJI shit in some of your replies. I realize that this is a Tapatalk bug and not your fault. But the only reason it's not worse is because I put some filters in the software to knock out some of the crap when the system detects it, but sometimes it still gets by.

Tapatalk is becoming a hassle and I might just get rid of it. It seems clear they are not interested in fixing this bug, and it seems that relatively few people use it to post here.

When I see the ...... thing (not just from you, but from others), I delete it. You can delete your post, so I'm not sure why you just edit it like that. Anyway, this by itself isn't a big deal, but again, it's indicative of people having desertrunner fatigue, and just not enjoying seeing your dominance on the forum.

Two very separate issues youre blending together. The liberals in here have been attacking anyone in here that disagree with them in the classic liberal forum. They have cooled off lately, but one of them keeps going and going on the In N Out thread.

We are now stuck on the fence of "dont bump and merge threads" and "merge threads to keep it clean" and crossing over into some censorship. I personally dont like merging some threads as then the original author doesnt know where his thread went and then cant find it.

This forum will never be 2+2, nor do I want it to be.

This forum will never have a rule against personal attacks.

This forum is more of a legacy forum, and not something I expect to grow or become something greater than it is today. My interest here is just to maintain things.

This forum is populated by a lot of people who have come to enjoy a certain vibe and tone for as long as 21 years (dating back to the original NWP). Not all the members date back that far, but that's where it all originated, and that tone/vibe/familiarity is what keeps people coming back, even though forums themselves have become mostly obsolete. I am not going to change that here, nor am I going to allow anyone else to change or remake it into what they think is "better".

Given the relatively small group of regular posters here, one person posting a whole lot can easily overwhelm the forum and appear to dominate everything. That's what you have done, and that's why so many people are so upset. They come here to see a diverse group of people and posters, not the desertrunner show. Similarly, I am careful not to make this forum the Dan Druff show, as I know nobody wants that, either. I am careful not to dominate or overwhelm the place, even though nothing would stop me from doing so. You need to also approach it in the same way, even though I believe you mean well overall.

Here are the real problems I see with the board-

The posted rules for the board 9 years old and not enforced.

Different members get a different set of rules- What Sonatine can do, desertrunner cant. Some members post gay porn here with penetration and nothing gets said and another guy posts AI screen shots that get annoying as well...but if one guy's iPhone accidentally post an empji bug, its public shame time.

Some liberal members here are allowed to run around and attack other members and that gets ignored.

If just one person complaints, then there is a knee jerk reaction and suddenly "limits" are proposed- all because one person said one thing one day.

What I suggest is stop managing the board members like favorite children- Some get to break the rules and others get the slap down.

Look at 2+2 forums, they have rules for ALL to follow and the place is busy with new posts in almost all sections. The owners enforce the rules for all members. And 2+2 is NOT dead or a ghost town, its been pretty active from what I can see.

This board has been running well well lately with one of the cancer members gone- exactly as I have been saying for years. Take out the key problem person who seems to get a pass weekly- sonatine.

I just like coming here because its no censorship and exchange information.
