why would you celebrate his losses? are you not impressed or at least pleased with how he has advanced our space programs, the freedom he has given so many people all over the world with his satellite networks? many more things. i just don't get the hate.

*and i am not a tsla holder

so for one thing i dont think hes advanced our space programs, i think hes advanced his space program. china's putting men on the moon by 2030 and our government budget allocation to nasa hasnt been this low since 1959.

so i think hes doing the opposite of a space program, i think hes just creating a self serving revenue loop where he bleeds money from agencies who needs it.

he also ginned up a conspiracy theory about astronauts being left on the space station for 'political reasons' then called them idiots when they spoke the truth and then pivoted to a campaign to defund the fucking space station.

compare that narrative with the pattaya cave / pedo drama, theres a pattern.

he bullied a kid in a wheelchair in school and when he got his ass beaten over it, his own father said 'yeah elon deserved it'.

when the mothers of his children ask him to pay attention to his children, he sicks his lawyers on them.

if he had just stuck with making sick cars and developing rocketry technology, id be forever on his nuts. but he is a profoundly sadistic twerp and a bully who has absolutely no sane or sensible boundaries when the victims of his cruelty fight back.

hes a living caricature of narcissist personality disorder; people who had to work with him in trump's administration said it was impossible to get anything done because if you didnt constantly laugh at his relentless barrage of profoundly stupid jokes, he would sulk and lash out.

look bottom line; serious things need serious people. the space program needs serious people. governments need serious people.

elon is pathologically incurious drug addict who cant be worked with, he can only be worked for.

and the people who work for him end up sleeping under their desks and then getting fired days before their stocks vest.

oh god i can go on but i really hope ive made my point here.

So you "do the right thing" and cast your vote for R...... because they represent most of your views..... and then every few years its another debt ceiling catastrophe.

My economics background tells me we probably cant go zero deficit without huge negative impacts but I sure as shit didn't sign up for this Bill in entirey.

At this point if the option is voting for R and getting betrayed is it maybe better and vote D because at least you get the benefit of the social security blanket. I habe never thought in these terms before but the results are driving me in that direction.

wife and i have decided we will no longer vote for anyone in the republican establishment - which means we simply won't vote. if that means we are tacitly voting for dems, so be it. at least you know what to expect with them. our votes don't matter anyway. the republicans continue to betray the people who put them in power, again and again. they don't deserve the time it takes us to vote.

regarding social security, both parties will end up agreeing to means testing for it anyway. and sure, it will only make a small dent in the problem, but it will make the rest of the country who is broke feel good. this is a lock. i will try to jump on at 62, but don't think i will reach that before this is done.
These two posts crystallize my frustration and feelings of betrayal. Forever is a long time but grudges give my life purpose.

End of times is right on schedule

A party championed by a government contractor and subsidy whore is not the answer either. I applaud the disruption though.

Which donor(s) is Trump protecting? I'm guessing it's not himself as that info would have come out during the 2024 campaign at some point once he surged ahead in polls.

We both squandered our youth following the Epstein scandal. At this point I am less concerned with who is being protected. I think you and I have this pretty well noodled out

This controversy is of Trump’s own manufacture. I will concede Trump is prolly as distant from this as most issues these days and his inept staff including Bondi and Kash Patel are fucking this up for him.

The cover up is idiotic, poorly constructed and such stupidity will be richly punished…. until Trump and Susie concoct the next news cycle. Trump still has no equal when managing the public.

i suspect it is in the dozens. mostly politicians and billionaires. bill gates got divorced over it. bill clinton wasn't there for the sun. one of the royals admitted to some of it i think. the list must be deep and long.

trump is the one in charge of this, make no mistake. his minions (bondi) may take the fall, but trump is the one making this call. he squandered such an opportunity.

I think it’s a Trump TACO. A bold, attention getting promise was made that had us stomping our feet in the bleachers then he chickened out.

The bumbling execution of the cover up was left to the stooges. I admit it would take a political genius to figure out an exit. If anyone could sell an excuse it would have been Trump but this has escaped the reactor and the public are gonna love the schadenfreude

This is a sideshow compared to the BBB passage. Fuck the republicans. The irony of tax cuts for the oligarch democrats when we are hemorrhaging debt

What does it take topple a high level narcissist/convicted felon elected as President of the United States? A high level narcissist billionaire who has been spurned by the former.

The option of electing a government from either pool A or B
is third world thinking. In this case, both A and B want it this way.

A and B are the swamp. Their roles are solidified even in defeat.
Their efforts are self serving. They include voter suppression and judicial interference. They do want the third option of C.

Musk is an idiot but an idiot with leverage.
Unwittingly he may breathe new life into
    a nation in decline
