so the whole 'calling out a genocide is totally antisemitic' thing is not going well in the UK

basically a few weeks ago, an extremely fringe punkish hiphop band (ugh i know) had gone rather ham over the ongoing and deliberate obliteration of gaza by israel. note they didnt call for violence on israel. they simply said murdering people en masse, bombing hospitals, sniping randoms for yucks etc was morally wrong and they stood with the targets of that violence.

and the UK power structure basically took the exact same line as the US power structure; tarring and feathering them for being anti-Jew/anti-Israel, denying the existence of any logical separation between those two concepts, censoring their performances during live broadcasts, and generally trotting out all the jingoist right wing bullshit israeli slop that our very own kingdom of retards has adopted as its soundtrack.

like, whatever israeli AI bot churns out the right wing nonsense thats become the party line in Retardiaville, man is it not landing in the UK:

basically they have created a cause where once there was largely nothing beyond a few raised eyebrows. honestly its absolutely fascinating. its a legitimate pop culture movement to defend palestine and the pendulum is swinging away from shyly choosing to avoid the cause of palestinian genocide and towards calls for it to be held accountable.

and the hamfisted and likely israeli orchestrated approach of censoring dissent on the subject seems to be accelerating its popular acceptance dramatically.

a long time ago i predicted that the new left will be anti-immigration and pro-human rights and this latest sentiment shift combined with the recent validation of the thesis that russia is fueling the immigrant waves to destabilize democracies makes me pause and wonder....

... how do i make money off this?

Great take on Israel as per usual.

Oh, and in case you think this is just about "death death to the IDF", the end part about "from the river to the sea" refers to a Muslim takeover of Israel and exterminating all of the Jews.

Also, "Israeli newspaper Haaretz" is a longtime left-wing rag with zero credibility.

This is a common propaganda trick by both Hamas and the western left, quoting critical journalism "within Israel", ignoring the history of these journalists or publications.

It would be like criticizing a GOP policy and citing the fact that "even Mother Jones is saying this" as your evidence that the citizens hate the policy.

You wrote shit that wasn't true, and then you attributed the correct allegations against Bob Vylan (lol) to "Israeli AI".

    Your last paragraph of ...

... is basically describing this matter as the people finally rising up and demanding action regarding an actual vicious genocide they've otherwise been ignoring for years.

That's complete bullshit, and even Vylan's own words ("from the river to the sea", "death to the IDF") indicate that Israel is playing defense, not offense.

The problem is that many are shocked that Israel just isn't taking this shit anymore. They tolerated a lot of crap from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran for decades, and many believed they'd never fight back, for fear of either creating WWIII or pissing off other countries who would see it as a military mismatch. But they decided enough was enough, and now they're attacking back versus the enemies which have been trying to kill them for decades.

That's not a genocide by any stretch of the imagination.

Bobby Vylan (real name Pascal Robinson-Foster)

State Department bans visas for English punk duo Bob Vylan after Glastonbury performance

The State Department banned an English rap punk duo from performing in the United States after they appeared to lead a crowd in chants supporting besieged Gaza residents and wishing "death" upon Israeli forces, officials said Monday.

Visas for Bob Vylan and his group of the same name were revoked "in light of their hateful tirade at Glastonbury, including leading the crowd in death chants," State Department Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau said in a statement.

A Somerset Police detective has been assigned to determine if any hate crime statutes were broken during the performance, officials said Monday.

"Foreigners who glorify violence and hatred are not welcome visitors to our country," Landau added.

It would be dumb to arrest him for hate speech. LOL Europe.

But I agree with the refusal to allow him in the US.

Many are claiming this is a violation of "free speech" rights, but you don't have free speech rights in any country as a non-citizen. In fact, you don't even have a right to enter.

Let's say you have a DUI or nonviolent misdemeanor on your record from 9 years ago. Let's say that's your only brush with the law in your entire life. If you try to cross the Canadian border, and they bother looking you up instead of waving you through, you'll be denied entry. Doesn't matter how much you paid for your flight or cruise. Doesn't matter how otherwise law-abiding you were. Doesn't matter how minor the misdemeanor was, or if your DUI didn't involve any accident. They will give you a hard denial of entry and send you back.

So if Canada won't let you in because you got a .08 non-accident DUI in 2016, or because you stole a candy bar 9 years ago, then why should the US let in an musician who is going to encourage violence and terrorism in a performance in front of thousands of people?

The US has every right to say, "Yeah, we don't want this shit here."

This is different than denying entry to someone who is simply critical of the US or its policies. If you're starting chants for thousands of people of "Death to the IDF" and "from the river to the sea", you can't be surprised if some countries don't want you bringing that.
