Wife is definitely a workaholic. In her last 3 jobs she is doing work of 2 people. The last job is now from 9am to 9pm. The employers see she can handle the workload, so they pour it on. She used to work weekends also is no longer doing that at least. A positive at her current employer is that she gets to work full time from home.

My experience is that having a few but totally non-negotiable red flags is a pretty good filtering system for success in dating. All this stuff about politics is complete nonsense, that's the last topic I want to talk about when I come home after work. In fact, making a political identity you entire personality is a pretty good red flag itself.
My personal totally non-negotiable red flags that I always work out before actually dating properly:
- Bad relationship with her father
- No real friends
- Unemployed, with no intention of getting a job
They don't have any friends is a bigger red flag than no hobbies imo (this becomes a green flag if you are autistic).
Bad mouthing exes all the time
Bad relationship with family regardless of whether they are to blame or not (only exception is if there is zero communication otherwise be prepared to be pulled into that drama).

Red flags:
- Left wing politically. No politics is fine, centrist is fine, but can't do left wing. Zero compatibility with me.
- High maintenance look. Often indicates shallowness, plus doesn't mesh well with my cheap Jew ways.
- Arrogant/big ego
- Confrontational. Means lots of arguing/fighting in the future.
- Likes dating younger men. Frequently a sign of immaturity. Plus I would eventually be dumped for one.
- Typically associates/hangs out in predominantly male spaces
- Religious Christian. When I would hear about Jesus, I would get off the phone quickly and never call back.
- Workaholic
- Looks down on gamblers
Green flags:
- Good with money
- Politically conservative, but not MAGA type
- Has a "type" similar to me
- Intelligent, but not the type constantly trying to prove it to everyone
- Enjoys watching sports
- Likes 1970s/80s stuff
- Easygoing/lack of ego

I agree with a lot of this list. But I strongly agree with the high maintenance look. I dated a girl who would show up at say a football game watching party dressed like she was going to a wedding. Everyone else was in jeans and tee shirts, and I asked WTF. She just said they don't understand fashion. Yeah, but you look ridiculous.
The high maintenance women tend to have the expectation that you spend a lot of money on them, and are also just generally more shallow. They won't just go with the flow if you take them to a middle-end restaurant or hotel. They will often be bothered if you aren't as concerned with your own looks as they are with theirs.
It's just exhausting. Fortunately I never really attracted that type of woman (I think they can see the cheap Jew in me from a mile away), so we mutually stayed away from one another.
Agreed 100%. I took the same gal referenced above to Cancun. Granted, it was not the best hotel, one of the all inclusive places so you get what you get. It was average. But the whole fucking time she complained, the drinks, the food, the towels, etc.. I mean give me a fucking break. I have a very low maintenance wife now, we stayed at a Holiday Inn a couple months ago, on points. Yeah it was a dump but we laughed it off. I am not sure why people take life so seriously, I mean get a grip.

SO then I have to go into the same routine of "Las Vegas is not all about gambling, etc..." and they really dont listen. So then, I have to make up for that negative spot in the relationship- whatever she likes, go to Vegas without her, etc.
Druff- You are in a unique situation that rare and able to pull it off. The other pro-gambler I met in real life did have a nice wife, but again, he had to obviously spoil her and make her happy. Most men have to do this anyways regardless of occupation.
Discerning women and men should look down on gamblers, as most lose and have myriad other issues going on. See the bulk of professional poker players as reference. It's a frivolous existence, adding literally nothing to society.
Yes, exceptions exist, but common sense dictates avoiding people with degenerate lifestyles.

Red flags: multiple kids from multiple guys (all the kids are half siblings), if a chick has been married and divorced 2x (maybe they’ve made a couple bad choices but it might make me wonder) especially if they’re bringing up kids on the first or second date.I found this survey online in 2023, saved it to my phone, and meant to post it up here at the time. Green flags: never been married or previous single divorce making more then enough money to support themselves and not looking for a sugar daddy.
My response is it depends on the person. If ya think about it a day trader could be viewed as a gambler as well. As long as the dudes holding up his part why should it matter if they play some 1/2 poker cash or maybe a weekly tourney at the local card room. No different then the ladies doing their bingo thing.
A lot of people still assume Vegas is just about gambling despite the push to add family friendly options including time share resorts with pools that aren’t for the 21+ crowd. All the shows on the strip now plus people can go see their favorite team in football and hockey (soon to be baseball obviously and likely basketball) to make it a trip without gambling. Hell my elderly mother goes to Vegas every 1-2yrs and all her and her best friend is play slots and she has a fixed amount set aside for slot play. Truth is nowadays not everybody is going to gamble especially with casino gaming having expanded across the country be it Indian properties or places you’d never suspect like conservative Virginia (a couple are joint ops with Indian tribes but the new one on the NC line in South Central is totally 100% Ceasers)I need to clarify some on this.
