I think Trump is telling the truth here, but it's obviously a little more complicated than that. Trump's inner circle likely forced Elon out, and I imagine he wanted some other ridiculous guarantees regarding SpaceX and Mars etc. in addition to the EV mandate that he eventually realized were never going to happen and feels completely betrayed. Remember that we're just a couple months removed from tweets of Elon saying that he loves "... Donald Trump as much as a man can love another man." This is hilarious.

I didn’t see that part, him talking about the Epstein files though we kind of knew Trump would be in them, I’m surprised he went there, but the rest of this was always predictable. The timeline was the only part in question. That it would end poorly was predictable.
The Bannon wing won. Which is sad as that means more of the same as opposed to actually fixing stuff, but having Elon fixing stuff was also disconcerting in its own way given his instability, so this is going to be highly entertaining.

Trump really needs Musk more and should have just tried to work it out and keep things good with him. This is just bad all around, bummer.
So far this is the exact same formula of previous Elon meltdowns. He's actually managed to make Trump look level headed. If this continues to follow the same formula, once Elon comes down from his bender he will back off and even try to do some damage control. He has consistently and increasingly shown he is in no position mentally to have the kind of power he does. I couldn't imagine owning Tesla stock right now.
