something else on my radar; in 1971 when nixon basically defaulted on the dollar to gold shit, the market shot up 25%.

    Our generation’s Howard Hughes

Over time, Hughes became known for increasingly erratic behavior. His fame transitioned from Hollywood showmanship to mystery as he spent his later years as a recluse in a suite in Las Vegas’s Desert Inn
Hughes's drug use was the response to the crippling injuries he suffered. Musk is suffering some mental struggles be it bipolar or whatever.

Over under on Musk outliving Hughes? 70

If we read tomorrow that Musk died doing “whippets” in a Connecticut garden shed like Tony Hseih I don’t think we’d be more than mildly surprised

His drug use would explain his poor decision making. Aligning with Team Retard, pissing off his customers, and artificially impregnating random women.

Do you think Susie (and her Banshees) Wiles set out on Musk after his remarks about Trump?

Pudding Fingers DeSantis nodding his head.

He publicly said he’s on prescription ketamine like a year ago like Mathew Perry. But when you have his schedule and resources, trying to use that correctly feels like a recipe for disaster.

I don’t buy hit pieces in general, but that feels like a combined piece from his people who want him at Tesla and from those in Trumps inner circle who want him to stay away from Trump. If you told me Susie Wiles was a source I’d buy it. Pre-emptive shot for him to quit criticizing Trumps bloated budget.

I said I don’t think he’s long for this world like a year ago. His appearance in short periods is so drastically different that drug use, ozempic, binge eating, yeah that all checks out with just his appearance.

I think he really is a true believer in many ways. Obviously he has more invested than anyone in America becoming fiscally responsible and then he shows up and realizes he can’t touch much at all and then bangs into politicians protecting their honey pot at every turn. He’s so erratic that I can see him almost going any direction 3 years from now assuming he’s alive.

I could see him supporting UBI with a Yang at some point and the love affair from the left going full circle all the way back to approval. Not saying that’s the chalk, but wouldn’t shock me.

He has to understand the implication of just how many jobs AI is going to supplant better than almost anyone.

Musk wasn't the right guy to direct this effort.

He didn't have the time to put into it, and he didn't have any past experience dealing with government agencies.

Cutting useless cushy jobs out of Twitter isn't the same thing as finding fraud/waste in government.

The odd thing was Musk's attempts to go after smaller cases of waste, rather than starting with the big money wasting first. Take a hard look at the DoD, welfare department, and Medicare, and you'll find plenty of fraud and waste where big money can be saved.

Firing a few park rangers? Not so much.

My ability to feed myself in old age is built around my first principle trust in DoD largesse. I was hyper alert to incoming threats

Never a peep about defense spending. None. Never will be either.

I feel a little bad for the park rangers though. They took a lot shit when Hillary had her boyfriend killed.

so who then? mike johnson ? no one could have done more under the circumstances -- and fuck trump, he only wanted the cuts so his big beautiful pile of shit would be revenue neutral. it's all a sad game with an invariable ending.

richest guy in the world takes months away from his trillion dollar empires to try to help his adopted and dying nation -- and for what? a at best tarnished reputation. and worse to come when the dems take back over he's going to have a bullseye on his back.

    this nations deserves its fate.

We can’t have a serious discussion about cutting the deficit without dealing with the military industrial complex. Good luck with that.
