The market will react, I assume, positively because it’s a sign Trump was never serious about any knockdown to the death fight with China. I would guess very little changes at all. Which is good considering we had a losing hand with no ability to replace the manufacturing in any quick way and he was waving the white flag after a few bad days on the market.

China doesn’t care if he comes back and claims victory to a bunch of rubes. They only care about the actual details. They are ran by highly corrupt but serious people with resolve. We are ran by highly corrupt non-serious people with no resolve and a populace to match.

The market has been going up for the most part for weeks since it figured out Trump wasn’t serious.

Still going to have some shaky times ahead though. And the long term damage it’s done won’t be forgotten by our former allies.
