I never took that statement in the literal sense; only that he would make best efforts, which he has. He promised to end it and that is what he is doing. I'm not saying you holding him to the 24 hour thing is bad but I would say that your motives for doing so are all politics.

I always thought it was strange that on top of funding the war, the US govt was funding the salaries of the entire Ukranian govt and paying stimulus to prop up some Ukranian small businesses.
