I get that vibe all the time with him. It’s like Elon feels you almost need to be around a whole lot and joined at the hip with Trump or it’s out of sight out of mind. Like all these other guys placed Vance, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it went from the tech donors to Vance to he needs to go to someone like Don Jr or someone in the true inner circle to bring their agenda to Trump himself.
I don’t feel like he is even paying attention when Vance is speaking or is the subject of conversation. Trump has that similar frenetic energy as Elon, so I think he likes him around, but I am guessing JD kind of bores him. He’s a showman always and that’s not Vance. Had Vance ever ran against him I think he would have basically Jeb Bushed or Ron Desantised him as some boring and awkward suit in a debate.
