Well at least TikTok was responsive to one of my complaints. They were quick too. Only took a few days for them respond and block this post. They didn’t approve my other requests since they said it didn’t violate their rules. Rate limited has to do with traffic.

Sometimes it can be put in place to stop DDoS attacks.

Other times it can slow down a site on a shared server from crashing the whole thing, if it were to suddenly get a lot of traffic. (For example, let's say CBS News did a report on goatlifecash dot com, then a ton of viewers went to look at it. That might cause rate limiting.)

It also can be done to prioritize better paying customers over the cheapos.

Anyway it seems to be working again.
