In all seriousness, I think Druff would do well if he mirrored my current portfolio. Also, if his son's portfolio matched my daughter's, it would work well. I really have my daughter's E*Trade account dialed in.
I haven’t thought about it in a while but.

You can gift to a child up to like $18k. Use that gift to purchase a life insurance annuity or policy at a ridiculously low rate cause they are young - whose cash value can be used later by the kid for school or a down payment on a home in New Zealand.

    Don’t let them know shit.

If you look over this thread, I have been posting about T-Mobile stock for months and damn, it keeps going up. I was hoping Druff would invest in them for the long run, we'll maybe see soon if he checks in.

    $158 in December 2023, now $219, nice.

AT & T has been bad for a while. Interesting that they may be making a comeback.

Their best pivot would be into real estate like leasing the buildings/land they own which is significant.

Likely need a few good government approved mergers/acquisitions to be relevant again. However, you should research their history of that because the last 15 years have been abysmal.

I’ll say there is some positive sentiment around them. May be a good buy. Maybe they have bottomed out.

Wow they have been growing with the 5G. Maybe they are back in the game.

I am not a sports betting fan or use any of their apps. But I wanted to follow up on FanDuel and directed to their parent company. Well, the parent company's stock is doing pretty well. Curious if stock is worth buying and sitting on.

Update- I just put in an order for one share of FLUT tomorrow.

Is Flutter Entertainment plc (NYSE:FLUT) the Best Las Vegas Stock To Buy Now?

Overall FLUT ranks 3rd on our list of the best Las Vegas stocks to buy now. While we acknowledge the potential of FLUT as an investment, our conviction lies in the belief that AI stocks hold greater promise for delivering higher returns and doing so within a shorter timeframe.
I was actually inspired to check into this stock by DRUFF because he previously just covered this topic-

Both sides will also explore a unified direct-to-consumer app that would integrate FanDuel's offerings, the companies said.

Financial details of the partnership agreement were not disclosed.

Wow, Draft Kings (DKNG) stock is even a better buy at a lower share price and better long term returns.

Here's Why Investors Should Retain DraftKings Stock for Now

DraftKings Inc. DKNG is likely to benefit from customer acquisition strategies, new product rollouts and Jackpocket Integration. Also, the emphasis on the surcharge solution bodes well. However, elevated marketing expenses are a concern.
    Factors Driving DKNG Stock

Strong Customer Acquisition: DraftKings has demonstrated significant progress in acquiring new customers in its Online Sports Betting and iGaming sectors. Customer growth surged by nearly 80% year over year in the second quarter of 2024. Even in the absence of new state launches, DraftKings continues to thrive, displaying resilience and efficiency in its customer acquisition strategies. The company anticipates this trend to persist throughout the rest of 2024 and potentially into 2025.
    Nice 5 year return-

Use today’s brainpower absorbing the meaning of “negative real interest rates”. This concept is predictive of the next decade. You’ll find it useful at cocktail parties going forward.

We can continue discussion later or not.

The IMF (International Monetary Fund) printed a handy guide book for Vance and Thiel to follow. Start with negative real rates first. Learn it - be it. How we position is for later.

But yeah. I’m Boston and in a small way helped build the home office DraftKings finds themselves in. It was always on my radar. I’m DKNG from way back. I’m sure we posted from time to time

Ive been on the fence for a long time on Verizon stock, but finally bought some as a gamble based on their consistent 6.5% dividend. But I was waiting for a key indicator to happen and it finally arrived- they are buying Frontier Communications, pending approval. As a non-expert who knows about Frontier, I feel good about this move. Below is a notice on the final step. My non-expert opinion- This merger needs to happen and both sides with benefit.

    Key points-
    - Verizon stock closes up 3.28% on Wednesday (10/23) despite market trading lower.
    - Major Frontier Communications investor wants 30% more for acquisition.
    - Verizon originally offered $20 billion for Frontier, a major fiber carrier in the US.

Note- I want Druff to buy Verizon stock and then give me thoughts over time. Maybe soon he will buy.

I know atleast one person here uses Invesco, the QQQ fund. A friend turned me onto them and I found their VRP fund and its pretty interesting and I've put some money into it. Anyone else using Invesco?

Note- This fund has a 5 star rating from Morningstar- https://www.morningstar.com/etfs/arcx/vrp/portfolio

The Tesla stock is interesting, did the sell it because EVs are failing or because they now dont like Elon? The GE Aerospace and Costco makes sense. I am pretty sure the ATT was a good buy.

Also, I’m still curious why CalPERS dumped their Verizon stock. What did they see or concerned them??

One of my long time stocks is Exxon-Mobil (XOM). A good recent article-

Is Exxon Mobil Corporation (XOM) the Best Oil and Gas Dividend Stock According to Billionaires?

Topping our list of the Best Oil and Gas Dividend Stocks to Buy is Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM), one of the largest integrated fuels, lubricants, and chemical companies in the world.

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) delivered an industry-leading financial performance last year, with $34 billion in earnings and $55 billion in cash flow from operations, its third-highest result in a decade despite softer market conditions. The company achieved record production in Permian and Guyana and record sales volumes of high-value products in FY 2024. Moreover, its Q4 adjusted EPS of $1.67 also topped expectations by $0.12. Exxon has grown its earnings at an annual rate of roughly 30% over the last five years, while its cash flow has risen at a CAGR of about 15%. The oil and gas giant estimates it can add a further $20 billion in earnings and $30 billion in cash flow by the end of the decade.
