They blow it. The push to Kyiv, a logical move failed as in other areas of attack and Russia was forced to retreat. If you're really the 2nd largest military this should never have occurred.
By comparison, let's imagine the U.S. wants Mexico. Good people, great weather and food.
I don't see the same scenario, in which the worlds #1 war machine is forced back from it's initial objective (the capital) and then expend unimaginable losses in men and machine only to reach Chihuahua in two years
Russia is not just winning this war, they are losing it in many aspects and it's only getting worse by the day
Understand, if Russia continues to slowly wipe out entire towns and cities, the deaths of innocent civilians and the relocation of millions of the same, the involvement of the U.S. will ramp up exponentially.
Ultimately this leads to the death of Americans who will become directly involved

Russia is not losing the war in any way. They are solidifying the end of US hegemony which will provide decades of growth for them. They also secured trillions in natural resources as well as a security buffer for their Black Sea base.

Russia can NOW use nuclear weapons if it is struck by conventional weapons from a non nuclear state but is backed by a nuclear state ( ie: USA ) ... all explained here pretty thoroughly in this 1 minute video...includes drones and other aircraft... we probably should be sitting at Defcon 1 instead of Defcon 3...That change in nuclear doctrine is probably worth reading or not.
