I would assume in year 2100 Space will be there, but not now. Russia has no ability to do anything real on the technology front. They do however know how to harvest all forms of energy. That is their prime goal with Ukraine. Whatever settlement is ultimately reached will come down to how much energy they can control from the region. Ultimately, you figure out a way to give the country with 10,000 nukes what they want while all sides save face. It's not like they can lose the war at this point. A draw though is acceptable. This notion they will just pack up and go home will never happen.

Consider the fight Ukraine is managing with no allied troops. Vastly outnumbered but
not overrun. That will change eventually. Poland, France, Sweden, Finland etc. are now forces
to contend with. Everyone hopes this will end but it will not involve gains for the invader.

Ukraine has 14 Trillion in natural resources, the majority of it in now Russian occupied areas. Russias investment in war manufacturing is fuelling gdp growth. It's not a simple expense.

avg annual per capita GDP topped $3000. An oligarch controlled slave state is what we're fighting to maintain. Any country besides Israel that tries to break out of poverty and debt will

The threat of using NATO weapons to attack deep into Russia is a terrible escalation that could result in WW3. Putin has not bluffed during this entire buildup to the SMO and has been very patient and conservative in his escalation strategy. He has not decimated Ukraine infrastructure thus far. Kiev is still running as a normal city and the decision centres have not been targeted. Russia is still supplying much of the gas keeping Europe limping along. If they shutoff the valves Europe would be fucked.

Putin has stated that if NATO successfully attacks Russia and causes significant damage that he will go after Poland and any other country that stages western equipment. That will give the war mongers an excuse to escalate to full war, a terrible outcome for all.

It's all so ridiculous, Ukraine is not of any strategic importance to the West besides being a threat to Russia if the West controls it. It's all personal grudges by the neocon oligarchs that were pushed out of Russia when Putin rose to power and stopped the Western raping of its natural resources. Add to that the desire of zionists to weaken Russia so they can take another shot at Syria. It won't work. The empire is over. It's time for the West to retract and rebuild.

Just as Putin was very consistent in his statements the past decade about NATO and Ukraine he has also very early on plainly stated his position regarding Russia’s nuclear option in the Ukraine matter.
