Susan Wojcicki, former YouTube CEO, has died

    That's a shock rip.

Her husband, Dennis Troper, made the announcement earlier this evening:

It is with profound sadness that I share the news of Susan Wojcicki passing. My beloved wife of 26 years and mother to our five children left us today after 2 years of living with non-small cell lung cancer. Susan was not just my best friend and partner in life, but a brilliant mind, a loving mother, and a dear friend to many. Her impact on our family and the world was immeasurable. We are heartbroken, but grateful for the time we had with her. Please keep our family in your thoughts as we navigate this difficult time.

Susan Wojcicki joined Google in 1999 as its 16th employee and first marketing manager. Larry Page and Sergey Brin famously started the company in the Wojcicki garage. Her sister Anne Wojcicki is co-founder and CEO of 23andMe.

Wojcicki co-created Image Search, oversaw advertising, and recommended the acquisition of YouTube. In February of 2014, she became CEO of the video site.

In February of 2023, Wojcicki left the role to focus on “family, health and personal projects,” while remaining in an advisory role to “offer counsel and guidance across Google and the portfolio of Alphabet companies.” (Neal Mohan, previously Chief Product Officer, took on the role.)

Being the sister of the 23andme founder offered zero life equity

weirdly ironic in a surveillance state kinda way.

She personally dealt with the difficult situation with Steven Crowder in 2019, long before he fell out of favor.

Basically the left wanted him censored, while Crowder wanted carte blanche to be as offensive as he wanted AND remain monetized.

Susan Wojcicki decided to take a middle-ground solution. Crowder remained on the platform, but was demonetized. Wasn't a perfect response, but was better than what I expected.

I knew she wasn't much older than me, and wasn't aware she was sick, so her death was a surprsie.

That's what sucks about being over 50. You can get catastrophic bad news at any point. Or you can run really well and live to 100.

Just to throw this out there. On pol everyone was saying it was turbo cancer as they call it likely caused by the vaccine.
Comments like 'bad batch'. The people in the antivax circle seem to think that most of the bad reactions are caused
by the occasional bad batch of vaccine.

I know they have confirmation bias but they have an astronomical amount of memes that are pretty interesting.
The timing is spot on, unfortunately you can't believe the vax makers, the media, doctors or the anti vaxxers.
As Putin called us 'an empire of lies'.

I'm truly undecided on the vax.

I am shocked I am still alive. My Mom and Dad died of cancer in my early 20s. I am on the verge of 51 now and running strong even with a bout of alcoholism, go figure.

What's the claim, cancer treatment is overprescribed or is there a surge in cancer? Prob both, I'm sure someone has a supposedly credible graph that shows the opposite and someone
else has a Lancet double blind bla bla bla that shows something totally different and on and on .
    Idk
Even an honest and competent researcher can't be trusted because the entire industry is funded by big pharma.
There's a revolving door between big pharma and the FDA & related bodies.
