    @BCR

As long as JRam is engaging in this selfish exhibition letÂ’s use this opportunity to express some Cleveland > LA for profit

    Teoscar = LAD Teoscar Hernandez

I offer these fun bets during this wagering eclipse

Yeah, there is some fandom at work here but I can find support in the numbers. Disclsure: IÂ’m a regular Gunnar Henderson bettor.

ItÂ’s all DK. There is a DK 50% promo too. You can get JRam total 5 cents cheaper on FD but not going big so doesnÂ’t matter

    R1: Jram > Teoscar +120
    R1: Jram > Bohm -125
    R1: Adolis > Teoscar -145
    R1: Adolis > Witt +120
    R1: Gunnar > Witt -105
    R1: Gunnar > Ozuna +100

    R1: Witt Jr o21.5 -120
    R1: Gunnar o21.5 -120
    R1: Jram o19.5 -120
    R1: Alonso o24.5 -120

Lemme know if youÂ’re in on anything. Friends donÂ’t let friends bet distance or other nonsense.

Never saw this until now. I was lucky to by incredibly busy and had to make like a 10 hour round trip. Would have likely lost money. DidnÂ’t see a minute of Derby or game. Did notice the last post yesterday and tried to throw a deposit onto fanduel while driving only to realize it was attached to some card that had just expired and I couldnÂ’t figure out how to change cards on my phone, so I missed even that. Now I have free time and no games. IÂ’ll be in PA later. Might actually have to throw some $ on site and play poker so I donÂ’t have any physical withdrawal symptoms.

    @bcr

As I said, they were fun bets during the wagering eclipse but ughhh nevertheless.

Ok, two futures - prices are DK. Both have buzz this morning.

    Orioles #1 seed AL +210
    NYY fading

The Skubal story will tell us a lot about O’s. However the new (stupid) playoff structure is gonna generate a monster auction. Reports of TIGER scouts at the Dodger minor league affiliates squeezing the produce.

    Twins win AL Central +220
I cannot get past how poor the starting pitching is. Legendary bullpen as always but ….
    Minny is in ascension.

    Prayers for JRam

I never doubt you, but don’t the teams up top always shift into neutral and fuck around and drift into all star game? Feels like I just naturally backed off leaders the last week because I had seen it before. Idk if it’s accurate. Just seems like the teams who need to win get hot and the teams up top drift in.

I wouldn’t do the Twins bet even as emotional hedge. Williams looking good last 2 starts makes me think we have just enough to hold on. Twins are good. I just don’t want to bet on it tbh because I love my guys too much.

Have no opinion on Orioles as top seed. I’ll take your word for it. Week before all star break I kind of disconnect, so I don’t feel like I’m on top of situation enough to have opinion

The Minny bet made me puke a little and the contrarian in me saw that as a positive sign.

I love the Guards and the way they play the game. The postseason is a subject for another day. This is idiot regular season stuff.

Finishing first has nearly no value. Get team built for tournament play. Few extra games is fine

I probably bet on the Twins 3 times in last 10 days. I could feel them coming too. Then I’d look at the patchwork lineup with all the injuries and wonder what am I betting on? They came through though. They were getting good pitching and manufacturing enough.

They play 4 in Minnesota coming up in a few weeks and 4 in Cleveland later. 5 in the loss column. I think we hold on but im beyond a homer. Tito always started slow and finished strong and paced teams. We are in uncharted territory.

Minny has like 8 quality IF and 5 are hurt. If for 1 fucking month, the Twins could trot out:
    Castro LF
    Correa SS
    Miranda DH
    Lewis 3b
    Kepler RF
Lee 2B (despite the fatal Knoblauchian throw the other day)
    Buxton CF
    Santana 1B
    Jeffers C

.....i would love that bet. Generally you are getting 3-4 of those 9 any random day. Position player depth keeping Twins alive. They need one more true playoff starter IMO (Lopez and Ryan are fine, Ober borderline but streaky) , as well as health, to win the division

That was a nice 8th inning by your Dodgers Druff.

Needed Ohtani to have double or better. Needed comeback. Got both

Caught the top one live when Dodgers trailed 1-0.

I knew Freddie was going to come through.

Ben was on his phone and I made him put it down and watch that AB.

He said, "I'm glad I watched!"

Huge moment for Dodgers who had been struggling before the break, and were on the way to losing 1-0 at home.

Oh, and they had just gotten fucked on two bad strike calls for Chris Taylor, causing a K instead of a BB with nobody out.

    Mickey,

I understand you hate BCR and that's fine. People are allowed to hate each other here.

There are some certain threads where I don't want to see trolling. These include any kind of ongoing sports threads (MLB, NBA, NFL, etc), the sportsbetting thread, the stock thread, or anything where people are attempting to have a serious discussion about a long-running topic of interest. The only exception is the political threads, as trolling/fighting is part of the spirit of modern politics.

Please do not attack BCR or anyone else in these type of threads, and stick to the topic if you do post. This applies to everyone, as I don't allow trolling in serious threads.
    Thank you.

(I've deleted the messages in question. Please do not comment further on this subject, meaning no bashing Mickey either.)

The entire house quit what they were doing and watched the Red Sox v Dodgers tonight. Tremendous matchup between two pretty good teams. Wish they played each other more often.

    Fun ass game.

Mickey made some more troll posts and pointed out that his "Exploitable Slots" thread is also full of trolls. That is correct, so I removed both his troll posts here and the troll posts from his Exploitable Slots thread. I also made the same rule in that thread which forbids trolling.

    That should be it.

Mickey, no more trolling in this or any other serious thread.

Everyone trolling Mickey: No more trolling him in the Exploitable Slots thread.

    Thank you.

Actually two exciting finishes in a row.

The fans at Dodger Stadium got their money's worth. And it was expensive, as it always is when the Sawks come to town.

Braves lose both Fried and Albies today to IR and Albies expected to be out a long time.

This team is cooked. They have a bunch of players underperforming as is and can’t handle these loses after already losing Acuña, Strider, and Harris. Harris should be back soon but it’s not gonna matter.

I just hope they don’t give up any assets of significance trying to make some moves. I realize all it takes is being hot come playoffs but this team doesn’t have it. Shame to waste such a good season from Sale, Lopez, and Ozuna from the Braves but that’s baseball.

Yeah just an unexpectedly bad year from a great team. Who would've thought the Phillies would lead the NL, and the Braves would lag way behind?

Imagine someone told you in March that Sale would be 13-3 with a WHIP under 1, Ozuna would have 28 HR by July 20, and Lopez would have an ERA under 2.

You'd think the Braves would be on the way to win 120 games.

Using Friday’s Dinger Bonus Bet here. Hear me out, if Skubal gets traded to the Dodgers, or an NL team I love getting this in now. Books have Burnes as #2 in terms of odds right now. But Lugo has been better across the board.

The Triibe are in a collective slump that probably won’t get better facing Skubal. Their offense this year was a little hard to explain and we are now getting a hard reversion to the mean Thankfully the Twins are also losing. Now I have to watch Royals again.

I miss Tito’s steadying hand at times like these. We will see how new guy handles the situation .

Thank god for Ohtani total bases bets. Had a mediocre series and still covered that bet all 3 games.

Lol, I remember posting early in this thread about the smoke and mirrors of Paxtons first 6 starts or something. It never ceases to amaze me when these "analytic" front offices ignore the data. Paxton the first month was no different than Paxton last month, just those hard hit balls were now hitting the ground/bleachers instead of a glove.

You could argue, "well the pitching injuries they have had, they needed someone out there eating innings, its money spent already". Except, in a rare occasion in MLB, it wasn't!

Paxton, 35, signed with the Dodgers on a complicated one-year deal that pays him a $3MM signing bonus, a $4MM salary, a $2MM roster bonus for making the Opening Day squad and a series of $600K and $1MM bonuses that unlock periodically based on his number of games started. Paxton has made 18 starts this season, which was the last milestone he needed to max out his contract. He’ll receive the full $13MM possible on the deal but also seems likely to finish out the season with another club, one way or another.
Awfully nice of them to let him hit all his incentives.
