If you're a middle aged dude who is a bit overweight, most women don't care (especially the ones your own age). I say this as a middle-aged guy who is a little overweight myself. However, in the gay community, fitness is essential if you want dudes to be into you. The gut or general chubbiness which women overlook becomes a huge handicap when doing gay dating.
