“We need another Bush in office about as much as we need Obama to have a 3rd term,” Trump tweeted back in 2013. “No more Bushes!”

Trump attacked everything Bush was attached to including, of course, Iraq.

Jeb’s kid, George P. Bush, ran for Attorney General in TEXAS and LOST. Family legacy. Hardly, the Kennedys.

I think that kind of thing reduces the meaning of his life and that hurts the most. Hell awaits though. I am certain of that. I’m not particularly religious but war crimes can not receive a bye.

Biden’s shenanigans in Ukraine worse than Bush? Ukraine war has produced more amputees than World War I…. and this is before they start using our cluster bombs.

What kind of peace conference doesn’t have both sides present? Russia was not invited. Crock of shit
The latest stats I've seen is 400,000 Ukrainian soldiers dead and 60,000 amputee's. I think their force was about 700,000 when the war started. No way they can win a war of attrition.

More than six times killed in action than soldiers who lost a limb?
Where do you see stats like that?

The talks are not really about any real settlement because that would require Ukraine to forfeit sovereign territory and that’s not going to happen. Why include the invaders in the discussion when they will have no say

Also, a war of attrition is rhetoric. Ukraine never settles and they have the dream team backing them up.
Look at how serious most every significant country is in supporting Ukraine/making sure Russia is repelled.

Russia simply doesn't have what it takes defeat Ukraine and friends.
Russians pretty much know this already but you don't want to be the first to point it out.
Putin's days are numbered and no one is picking up where he leaves off.

    He's dead

No effective navy or airforce (yet) and Ukraine steadily advances.

The stats came from Col. Douglas McGregor. And NATO is the true invader.

Russia has already defeated Ukraine. They took the russian populated eastern part of the country. They really don't care about the rest. Putin has actually taken it easy on Ukraine. He could have been much more brutal.

Putin is a very popular leader, polls over 80%, and the War is popular with the Russian people. They understand the danger of NATO on the Ukrainian border. How do you think Hitler got to Stalingrad?

Here's a study on whether Putin's popularity numbers with russian citizens are accurate:

Department of Political Science, Columbia University
Department of Political Science, University of Wisconsin
    University of Gothenburg, Sweden

    ABSTRACT

Vladimir Putin has managed to achieve strikingly high public approval
ratings....But is his popularity real, or are respondents lying to pollsters? We conducted a series of list experiments to estimate support for Putin while
allowing respondents to maintain ambiguity about whether they personally
do so. Our estimates suggest support for Putin of approximately 80%, which
is within 10 percentage points of that implied by direct questioning. We find
little evidence that these estimates are positively biased due to the presence
of floor effects. In contrast, our analysis of placebo experiments suggests that
there may be a small negative bias due to artificial deflation. We conclude
that Putin’s approval ratings largely reflect the attitudes of Russian citizens

Nato threat? NATO does not invade because NATO is more or less a concept.
The only stretch even conceivable is that NATO managed to influence a non member
to provoke an invasion of it’s people and all that entails. Absurd

Russia’s sphere of influence dwindles because it’s based on thuggery.
The last thing a thug cares about is the people they rob.

This is Russia’s last stand. Everyone is in
It’s a desperate act and 30 years too late

One of the real winners from this will be the Russian people
