The prosecutor, Jack Smith, is once again setting himself up for failure. His heaping on of charges against Trump is the same thing he did to republican Virginia governor, Bob McConnell and his wife, on corruption charges. He was convicted and sentenced to two years. His conviction was upheld by the 4th circuit.

McConnel was set to go to jail but SCOTUS ordered that he remain free pending their decision on whether to hear the case or not. Democrats did everything they could to get SCOTUS not hear the case but in 2016 they decided to hear it.

On a vote of 9 to 0 SCOTUS vacated McDonnell's conviction saying the charges were dubious and overreaching. In 2016 the makeup of SCOTUS was not conservate. Voting in the 9 to 0 decision were Kennedy, Ginsberg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan.

Jack Smith was pissed to high heaven. But he ain't learned his lesson. All the charges against Trump are bogus.

When you look at all the cases against democrats that DOJ passed on prosecuting, Holder, Hillary, Comey, McCabe, Stzrok, Page, Hunter, Joe, but then selectively prosecutes republicans like Trump, the conservative SCOTUS is going to take a dim view of the weaponization of DOJ against republicans and throw out any and all Trump convictions.

Trump was in town this weekend to speak at the Georgia GOP convention and I had the pleasure of getting to hear him speak. They had a special section up front for wheelchairs. I was searched upon entering but not well eyas I had three joints in a odor mproof container unless the secret service just doesn't care about Pot. After his speech Trump visited the Waffle house for some grub which probably says a lot about the food situation here in Columbus Georgia. In other news today marks my first week in my new apartment after living in hotels and shelters for the past year and funny enough I am literally a block away from my old apartment but this building is run by HUD and based on my income so my rent and all utilities is only 420 a month which is very reasonable I hope everyone is doing well in life.

Ron DeSantis is similar to Trump by what he thinks and would do probably. Both Middle of the road so will appeal to the undecideds/Independents, but two totally different ways of going about themselves. Other than DeSantis i'd doubt anyone gains more traction than today like Nikki Haley Christie or Pence etc.

I voted for Trump obviously in 2016 and 2020. But I want nothing to do with Trump in 2024. Anyone other than Trump would win and win easily against Biden. Biden obviously is getting worse with clear signs of dementia, and Kamala Harris is so unlikable its amazing Biden would keep her on the ticket.

The issue with Trump is he has zero chance in the general election even against an obviously mentally failing Biden. Trump would lose by a landslide in MI, PA, VA and WI. He likely would also lose GA and AZ again. I am not even sure he would win North Carolina at this point. The issue for Trump is every Democrat would vote against him and most Independents as well. But here is the deal, 25% of Republicans would not vote for him either. I've got a Republican buddy of mine who was an ardent Trump supporter and wants nothing to do with him now after January 6th. There are simply a lot of moderate Republicans who are never going to vote for him, they won't vote for Biden either but a no vote for Trump is a vote for Biden.

The very sad thing is someone like Tim Scott would coast to victory. But he has no chance in the primary. Hopefully the Governor from VA gets in, he actually would win rather easily as well.

I can't stand RINO republicans like Mitt Romney and Chris Christie, but without the RINO votes you got no chance in the general election. I am quite surprised Marco Rubio is not in, this might be his year.
