Issue for Trump is there are 37 charges. At his age he only needs to be convicted of one and he dies in prison. He absolutely cannot win the election, there is 52% of the country that will never vote for him. His best bet is to throw his support to the eventual nominee in exchange for a pardon. I don't think Desantis can win either. But someone like Tim Scott would cruise to victory. Maybe that governor from Virginia if he gets in. Trump gets his pardon and can live out his life in Mara Lago.

Trump has the same issue for me that Biden has for the Democrats. He is just too damn old. I don't want an 80 year old President. With technology now running the world, AI, I want someone younger who understands the future. Trump and Biden will almost certainly be dead in 7 to 10 years, I want someone in there 40s or 50s leading this place now. Trump was in the right place at the right time in 2016, but in 2024 he is almost forcing himself into the equation. I waited in line in 2016 to vote for him for nearly 2 hours, in 2024 I would probably just stay home. If he has lost me, he has lost the election since its all about turnout. (.@JudicialWatch has nearly 30 years of experience litigating federal and presidential records issues, including the famous "Clinton sock drawer" case.)
