Stalking goes back more than 30 years, unnerving.

Was it normal for a man back then to hover around a poker table for hours upon hours watching other men?

I am not piling on, and I guess in some respect our MAGA politics are similar. But you really, seriously, watched 3 grown men playing cards for three days? "Enthralled". Are you serious?

That is one hell of a terrible life watching aging card players splash around chips for an afternoon. Let alone 3 days.

I am not being a dick, but I can say with probably 90% certainty I would have ended it all if I were watching 50 something guys playing poker and getting moved by it. But that is just me. Wow, what a demeaning existence. But fuck it who am I to judge I am the same guy asking Jewdonk for videos.

Tgull needs to seriously work on his reading comprehension. Did you see where I said they gave up after a few hours. Where did he get the 3 fucking days bullshit? I saw 3 guys sitting there. I hear the announcement over the intercom for their table "We're starting up a brand new $200-$400 Kansas City Lowball game on table 27." It was on the Mint side. I walk over to the Horseshoe side. Over the intercom I hear "We're starting up a brand new...." I sit down in a cash game. "Over the intercom it comes "We're starting up a brand new $200-$400...." It didn't matter where you were in the building. Everyone in the fucking building kept hearing those announcements over and over again. Every ten minutes. A few hours later I get up and go to the restroom. On the way I see Doyle and the boys still waiting for a mark to sit down. It was shortly after then that the announcements stopped.

The next day the main event started. I watched all 3 days of it. It was a packed house everyday of people watching it. Have you ever watched the TV tournaments. There's always a crowd watching.

I had stopped in Las Vegas on my way back to Alaska and stumbled onto the WSOP. I never made it back to Alaska. I decided instead that I was going to be a gambler. It took me a few years to get it right. I've made a hell of a lot more money gambling than I ever made in the job market. All because I stumbled onto the WSOP in 1992.

Tgull, don't let that sloppy/sonatine buffoonery rub off on you. If you don't like watching live poker then don't watch it. But don't denigrate the millions of Americans that do watch it.

And please take note that this here is a gambling site. Someone on PFA is watching poker? OMG! OMG! What is the world coming to!!!!

Also, at the main event of 1992 I watched Telly Savalas get knocked out 21st place. Guess what he did. He left the table, walked over, grabbed a seat....AND WATCHED THE REST OF THE EVENT!

That poor Telly Savalas. What a terrible life watching grown men play poker. And you know what else, Tgull? He looked "enthralled."

I'm sorry, but watching older men play poker just is not interesting to me. I also don't follow around men at a PGA event either and cheer them on when they make a putt. In other words, I am not a fan boy.

Last time I seen Doyle Brunson was at the 2004 opening of the Golden Nugget cardroom. He entered and exited everyday in an electric wheelchair.

Being active on a poker forum for many many years is very normal.

Paying attention to a poker tournament the first time you come across one isn't.

It was both poker and cash games at the 92 WSOP. I had never seen casino poker before. The lightbulb went off in my head. The next 4 years I played the Stud 8 games full time in Deadwood, Blackhawk and Cripple Creek.

Looks like some self-important assholes are trying to aggressively make a public showing regarding how much they care about Doyle, and Todd is having none of it.

Somewhat of an aggressive message. I am quite sure all the people sending messages to Doyle, they are people he probably knew personally so not sure the harm in all that. But I get it, in the age of the internet you get flooded with messages. In the 90s, when I seemed to attend a funeral a month for a while you actually had to go to Walgreens and buy a greeting card and mail it. Few people would do that, 1) because it was a pain and 2) it cost money. Nowadays its a tweet which is free and takes no time.
