Elmore Leonard’s Justified came close. Same sort of crazy sharp dialogue coming from cops and criminals.

I have tried but I expected to be revisit that feeling somehow. There is only one “first time”.

Allowed. For me its nostalgia at this point. That show was on a very long time ago. A few years ago some obscure channel had on episodes of Hill Street Blues. It was on in the early 80's and I watched it when I was a little kid. Watching it 40 years later was a bit of a trip.

They are being very quiet on the cause. I could guess based on that fact, but wont.

First saw it at 13 at midnight in 2003 (Was never prime time) on one of the networks in NZ

Immediately hooked, kudos David Simon. The most realistic characters in TV history probably. Agree though, can't go back and enjoy it again, like most things.

Turned a lot of people onto it over here (Older friends/family) Slept on massively during it's run
