In the meantime, wishy-washy Democratic convert Charlie Crist is DeSantis' opponent in the upcoming election.

Crist selected Miami Teachers Union head Karla Hernandez Mats as his running mate. What's the problem?

In addition to Mats' closeness with unpopular Teachers Union head Randi Weingarten, she also has been oddly supportive of a pedo middle school teacher named Wendell Nibbs. In 2020, Nibbs was sentenced to eight years in prison for various criminal offenses against the middle school girls he taught, dating back to 2004. There was proof that Nibbs had sex with girls in his classroom, and he pled guilty.

For whatever reason, Mats was supportive of Nibbs, and even posed for a smiling picture with him, despite being aware of the allegations against him. It was never understood why Nibbs was allowed to continue teaching for so long, given the long list of sexual allegations against him, spanning back 15 years.

So Crist now has a running mate who advocated school shutdowns in Florida AND was friendly with a teacher pedo.

Needless to say, this election is not going to be close.
