The first consideration is anything the Washington Post uses as a headline is false. Johnson did not say he wanted to end Medicare and SS. I stopped reading when Gen Kelly said the wounded veterans are our heroes. This just isn’t an American value at all. This is NOT what we believe. Maybe inside the fraternity of soldiers perhaps.
We treat our wounded veterans like absolute shit and ignore them.
We have come a long way from not even being able schedule an appointment at a VA hospital and that’s only because the fraud and national embarrassment was too egregious to ignore.
This is as hollow as “Thank you for your service” which annoys me too.
