He mentions the "WSOP was his business". Most people would love to have a business they can run 7 weeks per year that supports them all year. In my opinion he really took this for granted. It's one thing if he had assets to fall back on. If I was in his position, I would have took that income from the 7 weeks each year and considered it a windfall. Do something the other 45 weeks per year to support yourself. It's one thing if he was semi-retired and had assets to fall back on, but he didn't.
