I did not understand the depth of the idiocy of NYC's vax mandate until an article I just read regarding the trade. I was under the assumption that ALL players playing in a NYC arena had to be vaxxed. Nope. Only if you are on the home team/employed by a NYC business. That is absurd. Maybe this was covered more for you east-coasters, but I hadn't heard about it.

I double checked and yup, when the Wizards played @ Brooklyn early in the season, un-vaxxed Beal was allowed to play, while Kyrie was not.

You know my libertarian streak is reaching a new high when government is making me feel empathy for Kyrie.
