their only real play is to fire up a spinoff. that said, think they could squeeze out 3 more full seasons but i dont know if it would fly for the majority of fans. i mean honestly me personally i could watch peter dinklage eat a fucking apple for 47 minutes, hes that good, but unfortunately i think most people at this point are there to see two things; dragons and beloved characters die horribly.
In the end we were all fucked by Martins apathy. If he finished the next book two years ago we would have an interesting few more seasons and they could put a nice bow on it. Instead we got the time waster that was season 5 followed by HBO saying enough of the bullshit we are going off script and ending it.
Now we get "the Hollywood ending" on HBO's terms and timeline. Is there really any doubt how this is going to play out? Season 6 cleaned up the mess and has everyone headed towards kings landing. Season 7 will be the fight for kings landing and the very last scene will be the final lanister vs Mother of dragons fight with The Imp saying "everyone stop fighting..... Jon Snow is here..... Jon what it is?..... oh the real fights in the north?..... everyone put down your weapons he need to start filming Hardhome part 2".
