The show has a chance to save itself and be the goat by the end. Every show has meh seasons and the questionable seasons in this show still had some fucking great episodes. The conversation amongst fans has definitely gone relatively stale since last season which is weird because were approaching quite possibly TVs biggest question/ending. I could quickly forget the months of onscreen samwell/dany/whoever if this ends in some semi believable ice creature bloodbath with whoever on the iron throne as long as they get there via onscreen greatness
My money is unfortunately on sonatines thread title panning out but its no sure thing.

so this is interesting... hbo are holding off on signing season 8 officially because the showrunners are starting to seriously wonder if 6 eps is enough to wrap this bitch up.
im all for it. i think they can get away with taking their feet off the gas and doing more world building. especially if they are considering a spinoff.

I would hope they realize they can't fucking deadwood this show. They have nothing left in the catalog that's even remotely as big as GOT.
their only real play is to fire up a spinoff. that said, think they could squeeze out 3 more full seasons but i dont know if it would fly for the majority of fans. i mean honestly me personally i could watch peter dinklage eat a fucking apple for 47 minutes, hes that good, but unfortunately i think most people at this point are there to see two things; dragons and beloved characters die horribly.I would hope they realize they can't fucking deadwood this show.
