I have limited knowledge Dan but since the ledger is public and if they did not mix in a large scale before cashing out it should not be too hard at all to tie the address to the business and then to Micon. Which brings up something that has not been mentioned, what stops the US from bringing further charges for say tax evasion immediately after these charges?

I think even if he pled or got a light sentence he can never sleep well.
The IRS rarely gets involved in snagging evidence from state-level cases, unless the IRS was already investigating the person (which I doubt they were in Micon's case).

I doubt he will see IRS issues out of this.

The NGC is unlikely to report this to the IRS, because they want their own conviction, and don't really give a crap about tax issues. Nevada also has no state income tax, so the state did not lose anything by any possible under-reporting of income.
